Hey guys I have a little extra money I can spend and you totally convinced me to get this game. Only thing is I went to 3 gamestop stores yesterday and they were all sold out, lol. I'm probably gonna get it sometime this week.

This is getting annoying. Ninja was the class I wanted most and I can't figure out how to trigger this event.

I haven't gotten there yet, but I found this; maybe it'll help. Gonna spoiler tag it in nobody wants any potential spoilers.

Go to Hartsurt City and enter Goodman's Mansion to see an event. After watching the murder event. Speak to everyone in the mansion. After the event, try to leave the mansion. Use Goodman's key and go to the basement.

I was in the same boat (check my previous post). Call Walmarts, Targets, and Best Buys too. Good luck.

Doesn't help at all, I've read that a million times. This event just doesn't happen when I go to the goodmans mansion.

Oh Fallen I forgot, my friend wound up getting a copy at a Toys R Us.

And Izzy, that sucks. I'd help if I was at that point in my game.

Regarding it being hard to find, Nintendo's done this before with some 3DS games - Fire Emblem: Awakening comes to mind.

Conspiracy theory: Few copies of the game are initially shipped (enough for preorders, plus a couple extra) and then retailers won't see any more for a few weeks to a month so that people who really want the game will purchase it from the eShop.

I still can't agree to the idea of paying full price for a digital download. If I'm going to be paying $40 I better at least get a physical item to go with it.

Also I finally found the Ninja Job. It just showed up awhile after all the guides said it would.

Same here. I love physical copies of anything.

Good job getting the Ninja.

Thanks, I'm somewhat bothered by the idea of actually being able to miss content and never be able to do it again without restarting the game. That shouldn't be possible in my opinion. It should be dynamic enough that once you trigger certain flags that it makes sense at any point or most points after that.

Otherwise the game is just too linear, which this game kind of already has that issue, but it is better than most rpg's of this type.

I think there's some backtracking though where you could pick up the jobs that you've missed. I've passed blue chests in dungeons (only on Chapter 1) and one of my friends said "you'll get them later".

Also, I'm indifferent on linearity. I believe it's necessary for some games, specifically those that are story driven. I personally lose focus on games that are exploration based and I'll make the comparison here to Skyrim. I got to about 20 levels and got bored. I'm about 8 hours in to Bravely Default and I can't put it down.

Yea supposedly you can get just the job asteriks later, but you miss out on the sidequest and the leveling of the job and actually using it throughout story gameplay. If I got a bunch of jobs in the last chapter or something then there would be barely any game left to use them.

You can definitely get asterisks later if you choose to skip them but harder battles inc.

Fun fact, max gp is 9,999,999

Can anyone explain how Net Friend invites work? I'm sending invites to people I don't even know or streetpass, but I'm still getting villagers off of them.

net friend invites basically are once a day insta streetpasses across the world, so you'll get their summon and an extra villager for each, and maybe village mobs

Makes total sense. I thought I was getting these random people from my registered friends' street passes.

Level 60 near the beginning of chapter 4. Hard mode is being annoyingly hard. Sure wish I had some people to ablink with so I can figure out if that is useful or not.
