Even if you have 100, 10-15 at most will participate. And from there, people will slowly lose interest. Some people who have already signed up will get insane scores/solve all mentals, and a lot of people might be scared away because of it.

Well that's what I think will happen. Hopefully it's a big turnout.

Commander: That will happen, even though the tournament is being set up to try to prevent that... seeing as how Mentals are their own tournament, Flash Games are their own tournament, FFR is it's own tournament.... but not everyone will realize that or care, and will be easily scared away by the round 1 or round 2 mentals that in reality are cake... it's the round 10+ mentals that will be insane.

I refuse to turn away due to some scores. Even if you don't always win, you can still earn the points for a lesser prize. I still at least plan to make it out with at the least some credits, although that light up keyboard sure looks cool.

Round 5

Gaming Challenge
Spin Climb: http://armorgames.com/play/1370/spin-climb-green
Spin Sprint: http://armorgames.com/play/1379/spin-sprint
Spin Soar: http://armorgames.com/play/1378/spin-soar
The nature of this round? Spin! Disorientation! This is what the Omnipwn Tournament is all about. I am going to mess with your head and force you to hone those spatial skills of yours. I also hope you enjoy the music by CornandBeans But don't enjoy it too much, as you'll probably end up getting distracted and lose.
Objective: Play these games and last as long as you can. Your score will simply be the sum of the scores you receive across all three games, and then you will be ranked based on that sum. First place will be awarded 1000 points, with a 1% drop for each lower rank.

Mental Challenge
Alright. I've been nice to you up until now, but now I start giving these challenges some teeth. Now it's time for you to think laterally... use whatever tools necessary. Think outside the box. Use Photoshop/Gimp if you have to. Google around for things. Figure out what the true answer is beneath. However, I'm going to give you a slight break... and give you two hard non-lateral problems to wash it all down. Each challenge is worth 200 points.
1.
Picture
Sometimes I return back to my old home... I try to think about what could have been. I was on a journey... a search for something I never found, and ever since, it's like everything's just so negative. And yet, all I can do is understand that what I'm really looking for is merely the opposite of whatever my inverted reality is trying to tell me... a sort of strange opposite-of-opposites, I suppose. You can't tell me differently -- I'm positive. But... what was I looking for again?
2.
Picture
Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words. Other times, it's just trying to make a point or two. Why don't you take a closer look?
3.
Ring, ring...
764*39128
2850
102583
2085
1329874*
134967#0*
*4#710
4.
Picture
Imagine that you were to pick a gray shape from the left and then place copies of it into the big white shape on the right. All but one of these gray shapes can be used to *completely* fill the white shape. You cannot overlap gray pieces, nor can a gray piece stick outside the white shape's border. Which gray shape is incapable of completely filling the white shape?
5.
Mind Impulse
Go for the fastest time that you can. Rank 1 will be worth 250 points, with a 1% drop with each lower rank.

FFR Challenge
This round is now all about how well you can keep that combo going... but when all else fails, mash! But mash intelligently or the boocount will drown your combo. You don't have to pass these songs (use this to your advantage...), but it can sure help you get those higher combos. Each challenge has a maximum of 250 points.
1. Get the highest combo on BB Evolution (Arcade, Page 5) that you can. Your score here will be calculated as Max Combo - .3*Boos.
2. Get the highest combo on Crowdpleaser (Dance 2, Page 9) that you can. Your score here will be calculated as Max Combo - .2*Boos.
3. Get the highest combo on One Minute Waltz (Classic, Page 1) that you can. Your score here will be calculated as Max Combo - .1*Boos.
4. Get the highest combo on Death Piano (Classic, Page 2) that you can. Your score here will be strictly Max Combo (no penalty for Boos).

Fixed mental #5, I wasn't clear about some things. Should be much more apparent now.

How exactly do we submit scores? Should we post in this thread, or pm you?

Everything should be posted in this thread except for mentals, which should be PM'd to me.

doesn't fit my scheule TOO well, but I'll try to see what I can do. I'll probably do major catching up during the summer.

How do we submit answers for mental challenges 1, 3, 4, and 5? And for 3, are you always facing a certain direction or something? Maybe a little more clarification needed?

Also, with mental 5, some have more than one number. What does that mean?

Please read the directions in the challenges. Each one states how answers should be submitted.

What do you mean by facing a certain direction? There's nothing saying you're facing any which way -- you're free to go whatever direction you like. Just make sure you're following the directions.

There is ample time to do these rounds so schedules of all types should be accommodated unless you're going to be completely busy this summer, in which case, you likely wouldn't be on the site at all in the first place for the next three months.

Funmonkey didn't defeat the final boss did he?

Btw, my first attempt beating the final boss is 148 sec. But I'm not submitting yet because seems like a crappy score imo.

hey funmonkey... you have to BEAT the game to submit a time... lol.

95 seconds is impossible... blue background = didn't beat game... etc etc. I could get under 10 seconds if i intentionally died on the 1st 5 minigames.
