You also can't create a file named "nul" on windows/linux. I don't know about macs, but try creating a file named "nul", with no extension. Most systems will not accept the name. There are a few more funny protected names on most PCs.

Edit: Don't try on '95, it crashes the system, or so I've heard.

Gaming, yes. Windows does have an undeniable lead in games. Though, most of my Mac using acquaintances have said that they don't care about games at all; they're more interested in doing something else.

What's UFS2? I did say most systems.

Currently, FreeBSD 5-CURRENT and NetBSD.

Its a lot faster than UFS1.

UFS2 is an extension to the well-known UFS. It adds 64 bit block
pointers (breaking the 1T barrier), support for extended file storage,
and a few other things.
