Serious question (random poll!): Can you watch the entire thing and not tear up?
The opening scene from "Up" Settling a debate here -- and y'all the guinea pigs. (Don't skip around or it ruins the point) Be honest or else ... or else what? well, i guess nothing, but uh, don't be a jackassss Last edited by Reincarnate; 08-16-2012 at 04:58 PM.. |

Re: Serious question (random poll!): Can you watch the entire thing and not tear up?
I saw this already. Didn't make me cry the first time, but granted, it was emotional and beautiful.
I think if a similar story were to happen to me, I'd probably shed no more than a tear haha :') EDIT: This made me teary eyed all of the time though. Last edited by iironiic; 08-16-2012 at 05:00 PM.. |

I guess I'll be the first to admit I literately cry every time I watch that.

Re: Serious question (random poll!): Can you watch the entire thing and not tear up?
I wish there were other poll options, it was a very heart breaking and dramatic sequence, but I just can't normally cry for something I know is a show or a movie.
Although I do have to admit I came close to watery eyes during the final scene at the hospital.

Re: Serious question (random poll!): Can you watch the entire thing and not tear up?
There isn't an option that suits my reaction. Somewhere inbetween 2 and 3. It is incredibly depressing and sad but not quite crying over it.
However if it happened to me, you can bet I'd be at number 1. Last edited by Izzy; 08-16-2012 at 05:29 PM.. |

Re: Serious question (random poll!): Can you watch the entire thing and not tear up?
this was my first time watching it, though i read the poll options first... <_<
it was sad, but she was old so whatever saddest part for me is when they couldn't have kids, if there were more emphasis on that i might've lost it. they seemed to lead happy lives regardless, though. |

I thought it was heart warming and beautiful. I loved it a lot, but didn't feel sad, just appreciated the art.

Yea the poll options don't really fit for me either because I didn't tear up but I did feel bad.

Re: Serious question (random poll!): Can you watch the entire thing and not tear up?
Up's intro is not nearly as tear jerking as the animes Clannad and Toradora. I mean I'm sure it is for others but it didn't strike me as a tearful thing, other than possibly the miscarriage it looked like she had a great life, there wasn't much to really be too sad about to me.

Oh God, I lost it when I saw this in theaters. I am so freaking nostalgic when it comes to reflecting on the past, so this killed me.
