Default The Walking Dead Season 2

I meant to make a thread before the first episode, but never did.

That aside, please feel free to discuss everything Walking Dead related here. If you want to spoil something for the sake of discussion, please use [spoiler]"spoiler"[ /spoiler] tags (minus the space in the second [spoiler] tag).

Everything seemed pretty logical in the first episode as far as story continuation is concerned. I'm as confused as the group is about why Sophia ran away and where she could have gone. If the walkers walked right past her to chase Rick, why wouldn't she stay and hide there? The walkers were preoccupied with Rick, she seemed safe enough.

Anyway, I think the real shocker for everyone who watched was the VERY end when Carl got shot unintentionally by whomever was shooting that deer. I can only speculate as to what will happen since I haven't read the comics, but I want to leave it all open to discussion. I figure, since I made this thread on the Sunday after the first episode (day of episode two), it will all be cleared up tonight, but if not, I'd love to hear the discussion.

I watched this episode to see what the show is like and it seems like a show that I would love, so I need to go back and watch season one.
Also yes, did not see that ending coming.

Episode two this season really pulled on the heartstrings of the viewer.

I really hope Carl makes it out alright, great acting on his part when the doctor is pulling bullet fragments from his stomach (parallel to his father). Pulse was pounding when Shane and the large hunter (forget his name) were running away from the walkers in front of the school. Not sure how they'll get out, but what little I saw of the next episode, they do.

Just overall good shit this season. I'm really excited for the next episode all week and I find it hard to wait. BF3 will help.

What channel is AMC, and when are the new epsidoes? I discovered this show like 2 days ago and watched the entire season 1 and the first episode of season 2 in one sitting.

AMC is on channel 43 for me. You can probably check your local cable provider and see what it's listed as for your area. It's on Sunday nights at 9 P.M. EST with an encore presentation at 10 P.M. EST and then a 30 minute live talk show Talking Dead at 11 P.M. I usually go to bed after that for school Monday mornings, but I think they just keep showing it after that if you missed it.

Episode three was pretty sick.

So, Shane killed Otis. That's the biggest part of the episode, really. The storybooking with the opening and closing scene being the same was really well thought out.

I watched the Talking Dead after this episode, and the guest was talking about the shaving of the hair which was most obviously to conceal the missing hair so he wouldn't have to explain it, but more notably was what else she said. She said him shaving the hair was more of a way of putting his past behind him, and, maybe I'm looking too far into this, but the last part of him shaving his hair was him pulling some off from the back of his head. That would really support what the guest was saying, but I don't know.

Was a pretty intense episode, and regardless of the darkness, there was still the light of Carl healing up well.

Waiting with baited breath for the next episode.

The whole first half of the second season was so damn dramatic. The first season was pretty much action packed and awesome. Second season is a bore fest to be honest. It's starting to get good though but **** the mid-season finale... no more episodes till February! I'm kinda pissed but whatever. I'm just glad the whole lost kid thing is over.

I should have expected it but I was still surprised when Sophia came walking out the barn all zombified.

Season two will be a total of 13 episodes, and the first half of them are already out. The second half goes live starting in February, which sucks.

So, first episode of Season 2 Pt. 2 aired last night.

Pretty boring in terms of action, but they did exactly what they needed to do with that episode. Clean-up, character development, and they set up for the rest of season. I'm half-way through the comics and I have an idea where this might be going, but I'm still really excited to see what happens.

Thoughts on Part 2?

I'm still on season 1 because I just started watching a week ago but so far it's a pretty good show. Can't wait to get to season 2

Honestly, I found season one to be pretty boring until episode 5 I think. It has throughout the first season important ideas and concepts that you have to infer, but not a bunch of action.
From what I can tell, the rest of season two will be pretty fast-paced but will continue with the lulls for character development.

Episode two of part two aired last night. I missed the first showing because I was out eating dinner but I caught the second and Talking Dead afterward.

Lot of suspense in this episode between Laurie and the whole bar scene and then tangible tension back at the farm. A lot of interesting revelations and character interactions to be seen.

I was cringing during the kid skewered on the fence bit. None of the outcomes were good for him. Lose half the leg or lose most of the muscle...
Also Rick's cold/dead stare into the camera at the end. Laurie is messing with his head and I can only speculate where this is going (though I have an idea).
