Buying a DDR Machine
Yes Guys,
I am looking into buying a DDR machine, cause it's all I need and what not. http://www.channelbeat.com/products/...series/18.html DDR 4th Mix Solo Machine, Price is 2988 CAD but is there any other good sites out there that could be a couple hundred cheaper? http://www.coinopexpress.com/product...2000_1782.html That above has also caught my eye, but not as many songs but has non stop courses! and its 1000$ cheaper almost. If you guys know any other sites or links to DDR machines with cheaper prices, that would be great. Those prices aren't a problem, but I want to be sure im getting a good deal. PS THEY MUST BE SOLO MACHINES! Last edited by DJRiDDeR; 08-31-2006 at 06:19 PM.. |

Re: Buying a DDR Machine
God, why blow away 2k on something you will probably not play for more than a 4 to 5 or 6 year timespan in your lifetime. Everyone outgrows stuff, and when that happens....you'll wish you had that 2k for other stuff.

Re: Buying a DDR Machine
I'm just trying to save you money, you could buy a ps3 or something that could last you years of fun...compared to a cabinet machine. You can actually make your own for a hell of alot less than 2k.

Re: Buying a DDR Machine
I don't want to play Solo, these also support Single, I just don't want to buy a full machine. Just a Solo Machine is all I need.

Re: Buying a DDR Machine
Why don't you get a computer dedicated to Stepmania and hook up a nice pad to it. You could build yourself a cabinet around the computer. Same thing, only better (able to add songs as you see fit) and cheaper (although there is added labor of designing and builing a cabinet).

Re: Buying a DDR Machine
Yeah, I could imagine it's hard to design/build a cabinet, I just really don't want to go through all that. That 4th Mix Solo is however upgradable to 8th Mix I believe, not like I would bother, 4th Mix Solo comes with alot of Songs from the previous DDR Mixes.

Re: Buying a DDR Machine
you should buy a coin operated one and make your friends pay to play, it would eventually pay for its self

Re: Buying a DDR Machine
Even Stepmania allows for coin operated play haha.
As long as you're up to the challenge of setting everything up, a SM cabinet is really the best option.

Re: Buying a DDR Machine
Okay here is what I could find but I don't think the price is lower than what you found. At least it's something right?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=13716 This one is sold out now but it might be restocked later on: http://www.coinopexpress.com/product...ion_1078.html#
