Go back through the batch notes, and look at their notes. They are very detailed and descriptive throughout all of their notes. It's a simple damn concept lol

HERE'S A GOOD CONCEPT, BE MORE LIKE THEM.
One liners are sufficient enough for a simfile such as yours. All we have to denote is that it's repetitive and that the pitch relevancy is off. That's common sense for you surely. The song focuses mainly on pitch relevance only. The same triplet pattern repeats in different pitches throughout the song, which you couldn't grasp very well.

It's your job to improve on your own accord, our job is not to do that FOR you.

Also, keep in mind Krunky that every judge have their own personal preferences when it comes to judging a file or giving out notes. You have lenient/nice people like me, patashu, gundam-dude etc who always goes into detail and actually show you what you did wrong regardless how horrible your file may be and then you have the more elitist ones like wc, alexdest, kommisar etc who rarely does that unless if the file had some potential. If the file sucked, they would not bother going into detail. Instead, they will just tell you what they thought about it and will expect you to figure out the rest for yourself.

This is nothing new.

Yeah, I completely understand that. Personal preference really is everything when you take a step back and think about it.

I understand a lot of what people were saying in the past posts, I do. I merely just wanted to state one simple opinion, but it turned into another debate blah blah. Not too bad this time lulz.

Thanks for your input though, Byron.

except i give you ideas on what to fix even if i dont think the file has potential. the only time i dont go into detail, like spitfire says, is when there is a major problem with the fundamentals of a file. if the sync is wrong with a file i wont go into detail about any other problems because the sync impacts everything else in a file.

i've said this before and i'll say it again. files that are submitted to ffr should already be good to go with no noticeable major problems. we weed out the good from the bad it isnt our responsibility AT THE TIME OF JUDGEMENT to tell you what needs to be fixed in a file but whether or not the file is good to go or not. i shouldnt have to waste my time picking out every single little thing wrong with the file because the is not the job of a judge. we pass judgement that is out job. if i mention anything outside of good/no good that is because the file is near good enough to go in game in my eyes and just needs a few minor tweaks. nothing more than a general overview of a file is really required when telling you my thoughts of a file. its your job to fix the flaws not mine when it comes to judging.

ask me to review a file for you outside of the ffr judging system and i'll go more in depth and pick out things that can be improved further even if what you have is more or less good.

You have not read any of my notes obviously, don't point fingers.

Regardless of the simfile, I give detailed and structured notes through time signatures and I may give a little tip on how to make a part play/look better for the player.

Thanks for the insult.

Regardless of the issues between Alex and I, I will admit he does give pretty good reviews. Him and AJ gave my file the most detailed notes in this batch lol

I actually did the same thing during the last two batches I judged. I always note people that if you want a more in-depth notes that you should PM me.

Also, like I have said, everyone has their own preferences in terms of judging or taking notes. I personally like to give detailed notes on files that needs them and I like to show the stepartist what they did wrong and possible solutions to those issues even during the time of judgment.

I asked that because I was just curious if you did. Also, that was not all I said, I tried to explain to you the different terms that you should know when stepping a file but you did not quite understand what I was talking about so I linked you to patashu's stepping terms thread so that you could see examples of the terms that I was talking about with you. I even give you a bunch of tips on how to get better faster but I guess you did not followed that.

Honestly, I have no idea. I think it had something to do with Krunky arguing about kommisar not giving him detailed notes.

But that argument is over so we might as well get back on topic now.

Currently we're asking judges for "one line notes" as minimum explanation of your ratings, but to be honest judgement notes are optional and all things that judges really need to give are rating numbers.

If you have questions for ratings/notes of your file in detail, asking the judge individually is better.

Thanks.

So really, judges do not even have to say much at all. Just give ratings....

I did not know this. So really, there should not be any excuse from any judge to not finish their notes/ratings by the deadline then lmao.
