Default Steam 2010 Christmas Sale

Christ on a cracker, this sale is even crazier than last years.

http://steampowered.com

Got Bad Company 2 yesterday (and loving the **** out of it), and thinking about getting Bioshock 2 today.

Seriously, if you have a capable system and some spare cash, get in on some of these deals. They're a steal.

I grabbed super meat boy and BC2 for under 10 bucks combined. This is the Black Friday of video games.

Here's a quick SS I took, I wasn't able to recreate the tables in phpBB and I don't care enough to try in vBullletin

DAY 2

These indie packs, btw, are pretty unreal deals.

I'd recommend not buying games unless they're daily deals until the very last day. Otherwise, they WILL be on daily deals the day after, and you WILL regret it.

The heavy hitting titles for today are The Witcher, Bioshock 2, Burnout, Puzzle Quest, and RE5. The Witcher and Puzzle Quest in particular are ****ing steals, though not as much as yesterday's Bad Company 2.

ALSO, when downloading games through steam and getting inexplicably low speeds, try going into settings and changing the download region to a low-load area like Ukraine. I went from about 120kbps to 2.2mbps.

EDIT: In fact, use this link to choose your download region.

DAY 3

Major titles today include Just Cause 2, Assassin's Creed 2, Recettear, Spore Complete Pack, and the Monkey Island Complete Pack. I'd recommend them all except for Spore and Assassin's Creed 2. You should probably pirate those.

Just Cause 2 in particular is a ****ing baller game. Everything explodes on a whim, you can hookshot ridiculous distances to ridiculous objects like cars, boats, and helicopters, and the draw distance is un****ingbelievable. Gorgeous game, and plays well on most mid-end machines.

Also I snickered when I saw Railworks 2 on sale. I snickered again when I realized CoD4 is the only CoD game that's on sale. gj activision

There's a lot of huge titles but the prices aren't fantastic by Steam standards. 7.50 for JC2 is a steal though, I've sunk hundreds of hours into that game trying to 100% it. That game has a massive world.

good sh*t mister goggles.

even if you've got an old setup, there's stuff on sale just for you. indie packs, popcap's titles... plenty of great deals on good low-requirement games.

See, I feel like everyone should appreciate MrGiggles more I'm glad you agree.

Anyway, Grandi reminded me in his distinctive kindly manner that a link to the table source would be gr8 since it has additional links to click on and all sorts of goodies. I didn't really think of it since I haet more than 1 or 2 tabs at any time but here:

WORD

The only games I've played on here are the Mass Effect games, which are amazing. 50% off isn't great though.

Today sucks. Is there any way I can get Super Meat Boy for less than $7? ...... I really want it but $7 for it sounds like too much even for me.

You missed the daily deal on it, so I really doubt it.

It'll keep you occupied though. I think it has a lot of what the SM community likes. Huge emphasis on skill and perfection through repetition.
