I'm Permanently Retiring (Ultimate Punishment)
Hey, TehWhack here. Just like to fit in my last messege while I still can, but I have been forced into permanent retirement from SM, FFR, O2jam.... and...well....basically ANYTHING to do with a computer.
ok here's the story... Tonight I was sitting at my computer and my mother started yelling at me to get off because I have a computer limit (30 minutes a day) and I haven't gotten off yet. My mom would not stop yelling after I did not get off for 30 minutes past the limit, so my father snapped and started yelling too how he had enough and he was going to get the computer destroyed right then and there. Well, my dad rushed in the room and literally ripped the computer out without taking off the cords, put it in the van, and drove it away. Yes, that's how it happened, and all my files are gone and I have no more home computer at all. 1200+ simfiles gone (I only use my $200 metal pad for SM because I don't have anything else), 2000+ songs gone, 200+ of the best internet videos that I have been collecting for 2+ years gone, all of my school work gone, all of my word documents gone, 600+ personally tested roms gone, games, programs, everything is gone. I guess you get the point, but what I'm trying to say is that due to the circumstances, I'll never be able to post here again, let alone play Stepmania ever again. I won't be on AIM, MSNM, etc. anymore either (but that was already common sense). The computer I'm using now will be gone in a few hours as well (laptop). Bye folks, it's been great. |

RE: I
Wow.
I bought and paid for the computer I'm on, and I've never had a time limit except for when I had dial-up which was a very long time ago. Otherwise.. wow. That's harsh.. anyways =/ But man.. ouch. Serious ouch.

RE: I
I'm not going to lie though, I can probably see why they are so angry. They find I'm addicted to computer and won't get off. My marks struggled for the past 2 years because I'm on the computer so much. Yes, I'm on the computer a lot, but atleast I still have plenty to keep me happy so I really shouldn't complain. Atleast I live in a 1st world country and have friends.

Ouch.
I'm sorry, dude. It's been nice. :P EDIT: that is not a happy smiley, even though it appears to be smiling. Disregard the smile. Actually, I edited it so it is not a smiley. Okay.

My father would get a swift kick in the balls if he ever did that. Then again, I'd also just buy myself a computer if I really had to. An average one will only run a few hundred bucks.

What the shit your dad has anger problems for serious 0_o
But yeah, that really sucks, man. My parents flip out for no reason every now and then (I remember the time my dad screamed at me for a half hour straight for not wearing a jacket), but that's a tad extreme. |

RE: I
No, I did not cry, it's not like someone died. I can't buy my own computer either, simply because they aren't letting me.
I'm not as angry as I thought I would be though, because I can realize it's just a computer and that shit happens.

RE: I
I'm on the computer constantly, but I do good in school still so nobody cares. Poor you, learn to not suck at school while computering and may be you'll get it back?

So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =( In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz. So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright. And I write the blog for their website. Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O |

RE: I
No, I won't, and I'm not nessicarily sucking at school because of the computer, I'm sucking because I'm lazy, don't try, and I don't do my work. They basically took it away partially because I don't do my homework and "they can't stand me being lazy on the computer all day" which roughly translates into "stop playing that key pounding game, and read a book".
Man, do I ever hate reading anything over 800 words. |

RE: I
My mom HATES me playing SM when I'm at home because it's in the room connected to the living room (where I sleep). No door.. nothing... Just a big 8 foot entrance.
But that sucks... Some parents are really ignorant about things. |

OMG... My computer is my life... One time my mom got pissed or w/e cuz she came in the room and she was talking to me, but I kept my back to her and kept playing SM and she snapped and tried pulling my keyboard and mouse out (She's so friggin computer illiterate), but the cables kept them plugged in, and I snapped and yelled at her cuz my mouse and keyboard was figgin expensive, but then the next day I said had to do some homework on the PC and she totally forgot about ever being mad... Silly Polish mother... lol

You know, when you flagrantly disobey your parents, you tend to get punished. It is called a consequence, a concept you will need to understand to get anywhere in the world.
That being said, your dad has some serious anger problems. Reminds me of the dad of one of my friends. I don't go near his house anymore. |
