Re: TWG CLXXV: Survivor Newfoundland - GAME THREAD
I am trying to figure out what meaning can be taken from knowing Knights is a wolf. In general, because of the secret nature of the votes, I want to say that interactions and thoughts earlier in the game are generally more telling. This is because wolves have gained increasing control over who actually dies (regardless of who they actually are claiming to sus).
If I had to pick one person who is the LEAST aligned with Knights, it would be DaBackpack, for this conversation in beach: My thoughts on WV/Knights as a pair (click the quote to go back to the first post to see all of them) My thoughts on Soundwave/Knights as a pair In WV's case, I don't think too much changed. His response to my questioning of his suspicion of Knights for controlling the lynch was to double down on it. I have them as kind of unlikely to be aligned. Soundwave's situation is more interesting, and will probably a big focus of tomorrow. There is a lot more stuff from Knights and Soundwave about one another, than between Knights and WV, since then. But here is a main one: Quote:
Quote:
Quote:
From my understanding, there wasn't that much consensus in the direction of TForce until very, very close to the deadline from what has been reported to me. In fact, Knee reached a clear majority first. Plus, Soundwave's anxiety about things being "boring" voting for Knights from the last phase, relative to past anxiety he has expressed about towns splitting up wagons, makes me concerned that he is a saboteur that did not want town to reach a consensus, specifically yesterday. On the other hand, if he was a wolf he may remember what happened better, because it would be a more exciting end of day for them (trying to save Knights from dying). I am not really sure. - Somewhat unrelatedly: If Soundwave and Knights are w/w, then I think wolves hoped to possibly win yesterday by getting towns to accidentally fail to coordinate on one of them, and try to win by getting me killed in KITB. If Soundwave and Knights are v/w, then they would have more motivation to actually leave their votes for Soundwave, since if there is poor coordination they just win outright and do not have to rely on a 50% chance. However, in the case that it goes to KITB or something and Knights get hanged, it is a worse situation for them because it could make Soundwave a lot harder to be lynched. So I can still see it being a less risky for them to vote on me in this case, since coordination from town was pretty OK yesterday, and it may help them to still get Soundwave lynched on another day. So...it is kind of a mind game, with regards to that. And probably with most of Knights's messages at the end there, where he was having fun messing with people by claiming he had the idol and such. I do not really take any meaning from anything he said in the last hour, including private logs. |

Re: TWG CLXXV: Survivor Newfoundland - GAME THREAD
Actually, I was wrong about there being little development with WV and Knights.
I don't know whether this was a private or public conversation, but I need WV to provide the prior context for this conversation. (This one happened shortly after TForce died). |

Re: TWG CLXXV: Survivor Newfoundland - GAME THREAD
If you search "where i'm at with the game is obviously a pretty vague question" from neee that is a bit before our conversation starts. I'd copy and paste the log but I'm on my phone and that's near impossible. I'll post the log when I get home but you can read our conversation now by searching.

Re: TWG CLXXV: Survivor Newfoundland - GAME THREAD
LTG tribe pairings, roughly from least plausible to most:
(Basically, if Sound/WV has at least one town, who is probably mafia?) Freezin/Haku Exhibit A: https://pastebin.com/pDdBJ8Lh really, really does not sound like two wolves talking to each other Exhibit B: Exhibit C: --------------------- j-rodd123/DaBackpack -Jrodd suggested viging DBP at first and seemed to think he was the most sus person on LTG at the start of the game. And DBP seemed to seriously try to get jrodd hanged when TForce eventually was -It would be spooky if everything about the penguin riddle was faked and they actually were working together on all aspects of it the whole time (I don't actually believe this) -According to sun fan jrodd wouldn't do a tactic of being so rude to DaBackpack just to seem not aligned, because it would be considered to lack integrity… so it would only be if jrodd was that annoyed about being bussed, which does not seem logical from how they treated each other in the rest of the game. ---------------------------- Hakulyte/thesunfan -Ever since sun fan went into serious mode he started to spread doubt about Haku as a possible deep wolf. And I do not really see a benefit to sunfan trying to “thunderdome” Haku when Haku would probably not be considered to be hanged very much otherwise, and people have confirmed that sun fan does not like to bus - https://pastebin.com/5FhWmVQD is their private log, which is pretty in-depth and not something they have really used to excuse the other as town (this is more likely to be an accurate lean for sun fan’s behavior than for Haku’s in general I think, but still...actually most of this lean on them as not w/w is really about sunfan toward Haku) -In Haku's case I think Haku being too deflated to want to thunderdome sunfan back, points against it slightly too ---------------------- j-rodd123/FreezinIce -I'm not that clear on jrodd’s lean on Freezin actually -Jrodd: “Do u have an extra chromosome or something” - “I hope you didn't take offense to the chromosome thing if so I apologize / When people are arguing with me and they don't see my perspective I get frustrated easily I don't mean to make the game toxic” (somewhat along the same lines as what I have mentioned with DBP but in context I can see more reason for jrodd to be annoyed with another wolf here, for arguing with him without actually reading) -Freezin references from the above conversation that “i have a whole bit where i become suspect of nee and jrodd because i feel like theyre perpetuating the narrative that im afriad of (weak players being mislynched and wolves controlling the narrative of who should die) /me and jrodd fight for a while, i feel a bit better but not by much” -Freezin has Jrodd as a slight town/possible deep wolf Freezin giving DBP credit for jrodd’s gambit is very weird to me if Freezin & J are w/w because I am assuming that Freezin would've helped him come up with it --------------------- DaBackpack/Hakulyte -DBP has always sussed Haku but has not been as aggressive in doing it as others. If DBP has directly questioned Haku I can't find it -Haku has seemed to generically like DBP after initially them both sussing each other -------------------- j-rodd123/Hakulyte -J was very confident in Haku as town for a while, until considering him more on the day tforce died. - In Haku’s main read post in the thread Haku has J as strongest town -(After tforce died) WV: “J-Rodd do you feel like you have to vote haku / Or are you entertaining other votes / Or other people I should say / You can't really have other votes” Jrodd: “Yea I feel that way” (for some reason I find this potentially sketchy? Seems like going along with others) - This is their DM log (https://pastebin.com/mkyzq1ED). When they are discussing how the challenge works, Haku is intentionally implying a lower score than Haku later claimed to earn, which Haku brought up to Cel (possibly to seem unaligned? But also has more layers to it than a convo of just giving somebody challenge advice directly, which could be good) --------------------- DaBackpack/FreezinIce -The only thing I actually have that points against this is the conversation in beach starting with “there's nothing wrong with advocating for resets in principle, esp when we've been wrong so much / but seeing you advocate for resets, and then seeing you not actually following through on it / while stirring up unrest in everybody else / is fucking sketchy” -I dislike Freezin’s reason for townreading DBP recently (“He never makes gambits as a wolf, at least that I've seen” - not true in my last game with them, which Freezin did sub from, but it is still kind of sketchy to me) ----------------------- ~These ones are Just off the top of my head because I'm getting really sleepy and thus not integrated with the rest~ j-rodd123/thesunfan -I worried a lot about this pair due to sun starting to say jrodd was 100% town all of a sudden for reasons i did not really get. Then I got their log from jrodd. It is not a pastebin so I can't share it easily. But it was fairly convincing that both are not wolves in my opinion -Both of them seemed cautious toward the other early in the game, in terms of giving trust. -They basically let me pick who was hanged yesterday, when I was not really taking a leadership role myself, which as far as I can tell seems like a bad play for them if they are both mafias. Even with the context being that Haku won immunity. DaBackpack/thesunfan -DBP keeps ignoring me in DMs when I express suspicion of sun -Charu and Cel both had them as unaligned for seer stuff thesunfan/FreezinIce -I do not understand their confidence in each other, as both towns, really. -But both are leader types, so I think they could have risked trying to get a town hanged yesterday even after Haku got immunity. But i have not fully thought that through |
