*note* I'm only responding to ones that are worth arguing against, because some of the anti-IE people are being stupid.

And as for what you're saying about XP... I have yet to know what you're talking about. It's never asked me if I wanted to store a password after I enter some place that requires one.

Whatever. I don't care that much about what browser I use. Mozilla is fine.

So far it's been like 5 people quoting the goal I set for myself. I know it's most likely not going to happen, but at least I have set a purpose in my life.
Like I said before, I'm fine with what I have. If it ever becomes a problem, then I will switch. It hasn't in the 8 years I've been using IE, so I think I'm set. Go back to the topic and leave my personal matters alone. Insulting the person instead of the topic comments made by that person is just stupid. Referring to the one person who actually made an intelligent reply to my comments: Quote:

Look, the real vendetta I have against Opera or Mozilla is that there are sites out there that do not work on these browsers. Another good reason is that HTML specifically coded for IE may screw up in the other browsers as I have seen happen before. If you want to counter my statements, be like Laharl and counter them intelligently. Debate works when two people have differing opinions on a matter and attempt to reach a common goal. ~Squeek |

And I have no idea how anyone could EVER dislike tabbed windows. If I didn't have tabbed windows I would rarely browse the internet. |

And Moogy's right as well about the HTML- IE and AOL actually have it wrong. They're the most commonplace browsers, so the rest of the internet conforms to them, when in reality, browsers like Mozilla and Netscape have it right. |

So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =( In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz. So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright. And I write the blog for their website. Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O |

Slightly late on the reply, but I decided to stop being completely biased without a basis and try out Opera. I was right only on one thing: sometimes the code screws up a little bit. But I can live with that due to the fact that this browser has everything I was looking for to make internetting simpler.
Seriously, if you really wanted me to try it out, you should have told me all or most of the features included; I would have jumped right into it. Instead I got a general overview without any of the features I was looking for included. Like mouse gestures or button configs on the mouse clicks (Opening in new background with middle click is ownage). I now support Opera all the way, but it's still not a valid reason to put Internet Explorer down. It was still perfect for the use it was intended for and never crashed on my machine. ~Squeek |

I just couldn't let this topic pass by without putting my two cents, wanted or not, in.
Internet Explorer is a damn fine browser, except for it's disgusting abuse of standards. Writing a stylesheet that will work seamlessly across all browsers goes smoothly and looks decent in every browser, except IE. Almost any web designer/stylist will curse the existence of IE, except for the assholes who feel the need to pollute the internet with table-based sites that use single-pixel GIFs to achieve positioning. I also wish I could use alpha-translucent PNGs without having to go through some crazyass DirectX filter shit to get it to work on the ONE browser that sadly, most people use. I hate IE's rendering engine, so I hate IE.

Haha, I love how the main window says "You have loads of spyware/Adware on your computer."
The poor little window is adware himself. =( Remember Weasels need protection also! Edit: You may want to get just Mozilla Firefox instead, it's compleatly clean. |

www.crazybrowser.com
it owns firefox, IE, netscape, and is a hell of a lot more compatible with stuff than opera is. it's IE-based, so it's got all those conviences and compatibility, with tabs, and its own popup blocker. the tabs are easier to use than the ones in firefox, because you can add new ones without having to already have two open (the tab bar doesnt show in firefox unless you already have two tabs) the tab bar is always there, and it's not so big as to be noticeable or intruding, but about half an inch, and easily adds/deletes tabs. all links you click outside of the browser (on msn or aim or something) will open a new tab, as opposed to firefox, where it just changes the site you're already on. can't tell you how many times that annoyed me because i had the ffr game loaded 'n everything, and there it goes out the window cuz i clicked this link and the browser decided it didnt feel like making a new tab. you can customize it to open a new link everytime you enter a url in the address bar, everytime you click within the browser, and everytime you open a site from your "favorites" list. for all you GUYS out there, and maybe a few girls (i dunno), the history and cache and paging file and all that are easily erased by going "tools > clear history > clear all history" and no new windows are opened, because it's done in your toolbar. you get a message box saying all your crap's been erased, and your mom will never know you were whackin it. =P you can even customize it so that the links you've been to dont show up as you're typing a url, so if you forget to erase all the stuff, and your mom wants to go to "www.supermarket.com" or something, she doesnt see the little drop-down thing with the list of porn sites starting with S you've been to. get it, for your mom's sake. =P |
