I liked it when the avengers ate at that taco shop. Also,

"Hes still my brother"
"He killed 80 people in two days"
"Hes adopted"

So many classic quotes

Movie was fantastic mainly because of the conversation between characters. They director is great doing that. He did another movie called Serenity that was pretty good at character dialogue between each other as well. Favorite part is when Hulk and Thor were fighting together and Hulk just punches Thor.

I was annoyed by a lot of the scenes towards the beginning of the movie with tons of people on computers and shit just acting like they're doing things, I hate that in movies but w.e that obviously doesn't make the storyline and whatnot worse, just kinda a pet peeve or w.e

Overall the movie was pretty entertaining, probably gonna take my mom to see it on mothers day cause she seemed like she wanted to see it. And I already got her something else I know she wants so even if she doesn't like the movie w.e
I like more tragedy in movies with main characters but again that's just another one of my things. I think things like that can throw great shock at the audience which really gets the audience hooked. I mean who expects a main character to get ****ed up hard/near death.
(for example when iron man was starting that giant propeller thing for the flying ship there could have been a real tragic seen there but nope)
Had a lot of one lines and shit but you could tell when a lot of them were coming so i didn't laugh as hard as I should have (also made me realize how stupid the average movie viewer is cause the whole audience kept laughing loud as **** at every single one. then again I haven't seen a movie in theaters in like 5-6 years if not more probably, so more of a re-realization)
That's about all aside from tons of action action action. Yea I'm not disrespecting the movie just saying what I would've liked to see.

I love the characters and actors but yeaaaaa idk nothing I really do care to rewatch, although as I said I probably will with my mom, and with how much money was put into it I really expected an amazing movie that I really would want to see again. I guess im too harsh of a critic and it's simply just not my genre.

Also didn't like when Thor was on the empire state, cause he was puttin in mad work, then next thing you know he's on the bridge fighting with (I forget tbh) captain america?, like why would he stop the lighting he was doing work bro.
And I really didn't like how Iron man looked "dead' toward the very end, like ****ing obviously at this point in the movie I can call out that he isn't, they don't do shit to the main characters, and then what do they do, oh another thing to make the audience laugh and ok, he's alive, didn't see that coming..

Seeing as I loved this movie, I'll go ahead and defend a bit (although it is, of course, still your opinion):

This is technically a common trope in movies -- but they actually lampshaded/subverted it with the Galaga reference.

You might like the Batman series better, then -- the upcoming TDKR movie will (IMO) have tragedy. At any rate, this is the Avengers, in the Marvel Universe. Characters, in the comics, die all the time, but they're always brought back through various means of resurrection. If you bring that to the movies, you have a controversial thing going on where death becomes meaningless. If you don't resurrect, then you kill off all possible future offshoots with that character. It'd piss off fans if they killed off Tony Stark, for instance. If someone's going to die, it should probably be in consistency with the canon works.

This was my main complaint, but it was a minor one. Some lines were obvious setups (Loki vs. Hulk being the most obvious) but on the whole I thought it was hilarious. You don't have to be dumb to find it funny at all.

Wouldn't be as exciting to watch, lol. I mean, why doesn't Thor just zap Iron Man and put him at 400% capacity again when he's low on fumes and ready to sacrifice himself? Kind of kills the point of Stark's character arc in this context. Why doesn't Loki more directly screw with the Avengers in the ship and take them all out instead of trying to work the Hulk from the inside via some elaborate staff-influence game? Not nearly as entertaining, since the method we DID get allowed us to see every single character in action doing cool shit. I mean hell, Tony Stark at one point invoked the Reverse the Polarity trope despite being a supposed supergenius. Again, you have to let that stuff fall to the backburners.

The thing about superhero movies is that you have to go in with a willingness to suspend disbelief in order to be entertained. Some people's tolerance for this is lower than others, however.

PS they show a clip at the end of the credits in which they are all eating grilled cheese in silence at a restaurant, staring blatantly.

ya i understand a lot of my points you could just be like, yo man it's a movie just enjoy it for what it is, and i did, i'm just saying what i would have liked instead. there were just so many one liners that i stopped laughing at them cause it seemed like thats the only thing everyone cared about in the theater i was in [and after just getting out detox/psyche the day before, i understand my anxienty a lot more, people really.. really get to me, which put me in the mood -->], it just started to aggravate me to the point where i said **** the one liners im just gonna watch the movie for the story itself and see if i can still enjoy it. but yeah to meet the likings of the average person, aka the biggest crowd they possibly can, i understand why they did a lot of the things they did, so yea great blockbuster but most certainly not one of my favorite movies. i've never even really been into marvel stuff (mainly cause i don't read comics or watch popular movies) but i do think some of the characters have badass traits, and yea i do agree seeing them do cool stuff together was cool to see the ideas thrown together, but i would have liked a stronger (can't think of a word for it but you know what i mean hopefully, i wanna say plot but the story itself didn't really have flaws so i wouldn't say thats the word im looking for).

anyway yea, as a superhero movie, it's definitely a great movie. i rewatched thor after seeing the avengers and i'd say i liked that more considering it has many emotions it gives character depth and i like the jokes more in that (much less jokes, more movie). but i also understand bringing all these characters into one movie, they would have needed to make it much much longer to have what i would have prefered, so yeah i totally can agree for it's length and for popularity (and likely even more things) why it was made the way it was, and i can't deny it's a good flick to see at least once, for sure entertaining the first watch through which is mostly what big title blockbusters are meant to be. I like movies like memento though xd

anyways, i appreciate your post rubix
