Angry Uh, help? My dad thinks FFR is bad for me?

Okay so everytime my dad sees me playing FFR he frickin' yells and tells me to stop playing this "stupid" game because apparently it makes me stupider because it's brainless or something.. I don't even know.

Like I'm so pissed off 'cause of it. Is there any scientific proof that it's bad for me? I can't take this anymore. I like this game and I want t be able to play it without my dad like getting angry at me.. 'cause then he starts like locking the basement and **** when he's mad..

x.x But yeah.. anyone know anything about it?

It's a game. Tell him to stop watching TV because that's "mindless" too.

Yeah but he thinks it's worse than anything.. he just came downstairs and saw me playing and he's like 'you're already playing that stupid game?' and stuff.. and I was like 'yeah, so klauda's playing gamecube'... and he's like 'yeah but that's different'.

...FFR is worse than Gamecube? wtf....

FFR helps you develop an extremely sharp sense of pattern recognition and rapid indentification of object movement.

This means when you go to Iraq as a soldier, your mind will be prepped to quickly identify and locate enemy targets.

It has been documented in more than 3 cases to reverse and improve dyslexia when other treatments have not.

Nforcer is right. It's a not a passive activity like TV. So you can ask your dad what kind of mental enhancement he gets from watch reruns of Saved by the Bell.

Cheers,

Synthlight

It can be bad for you because of repetitive strain which could lead to Carpol Tunnel.

Also, Synth is right.

FFR isn't that bad. If you play some type of musical instrument it can actually help you. It teaches you how to keep time on a song, and it improves your hand eye coordination. So actually FFR is kinda good for you.

Why don't you try asking your dad why he has such negativity towards the game?

I thought you'd be able to read, hence the reason I gave you a link. Look past the word sometime, or at least learn how to use a dictionary.

i would actually argue that the gamecube is better for "development" but i don't think ffr teaches you anything but how to drum and keep a beat, if anything

How odd, this morning my parents told me not to play this game for more than 30 minutes a day cause I'll turn into a robot if otherwise. :l I'm serious, that's what they said -_-
May I add: 30 mins wouldn't be so bad if I weren't playing for 6 hours each day.
