Default The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D

Who got it?
Who wants to get it?
Who's is going to?

I had it pre-ordered since May 26th and went and picked it up today. So amazing. =D

The graphics look WAY better than the N64 could have ever made them, the motions are more realistic, and using the look function and then moving your 3DS to look around or aim is absolutely ingenious and works amazingly well.

Also, they did get rid of the Mario reference from the original.
But it got replaced with a new one.

Also, at the time of this post, I'm about to see Zelda (that's how I found the new Mario reference), and yeah. Absolutely stoked to continue playing.

What about you guys?

EDIT: Forgot my one beef. The D-pad isn't used for anything. It would have been perfect to use as the notes for the ocarina. So why L, R, A, Y, and X?

Looks amazing, reviews say it's amazing, it's amazing that still stays true to the original.

Is the 3DS even worth getting? I've been seeing the commercial for this game for a week or two and have been wondering if the system has even been worth getting xD I haven't been able to try it so I don't really know what it looks like and I'm not really sure about the other titles that have been released for it (although I dunno if I'll be able to help myself when Kingdom Hearts comes out for it xD).

The 3DS is totally worth getting. It's a portable system with the graphical capability rivaling a Gamecube or Wii, and building line-up, as well as a ton of built in hardware as well as a fair amount of Wi-fi options. Not to mention, with certain games, just passing by a person with a 3DS causes certain things with your game (Ex. Street Fighter IV. If both of you have a line-up of figures saved, your teams will fight each other).

Mix in the Virtual Console, system playback with the DS (which allows Wi-fi through any router type), ability to get all of your DSiWare from the DSi/DSi XL and a fairly cheap price, why not?

I love it. I only played for a little but (just got the fire medallion). Can't wait to play the Master Quest.

Oh, Trevor, have you gotten the CD from Club Nintendo ordered yet? If not, hop over there. It's absolutely free.

"Everyone who completes a survey for The Legend of Zelda™: Ocarina of Time™ 3D game by midnight, Pacific Time on Monday June 20, 2011 will receive the soundtrack CD. You will receive an email confirmation within 7 days to confirming we have placed your order."

If you don't know, the survey just asks about how you heard about the game and what influenced your purchase.

Some details:

Celebrate the 25th Anniversary of The Legend of Zelda™ with the Official Soundtrack CD, a collector's item specially created for The Legend of Zelda™: Ocarina of Time™ 3D game launch!
Official Soundtrack Features:

*50 tracks from the game, many never before released.
*1 fully orchestrated medley specially recorded for the soundtrack.
*Liner notes include new character illustrations created for the Nintendo 3DS release, and a special message from Mr. Miyamoto and Mr. Kondo.

What's the status on your order? I had called really early in the morning yesterday. The site had gone down and the pop-up menu no longer appeared to allow you to order the CD. I called up support (turns out they had the highest call volume in the entire history of their existence) and they said they'll forward it to a Club Nintendo admin to look at. I've recently gotten an email from them and it just says "Order Accepted - Backordered". I'm thinking it's tagged as backordered until the registration process for the CD is over.

I registered the game yesterday but haven't gotten any e-mails yet. I didn't have a valid address when I did the survey, but I made sure to go put it in immediately afterwards. Hope I'm still eligible for the CD :/

Anyways, I've played it a bit. I'm trying to 100% and I've never played the original on N64, lol. I have the Goron Ruby and right now I'm doing various things towards 100% completion before I go for the water thing so I can become adult Link and whatnot.

Bmah will be very happy to hear the part about wi-fi compatibility, I imagine.

Never played the original, but the fact that it was considered good enough to remake screams at me that this is worth burning the dough for the system.

You have no idea how happy I was when I heard it would have the ability to connect through any encryption. It was a pain in the ass to go to WEP every time I wanted to play online.

Yes, yes I am happy about WPA encryption.

And I've recently got a 3DS and it IS worth it. If you can wait, maybe save up until a new color comes out.

If, by tension, we mean Blackhawks fan/Canucks hater vs. Canucks fan, then s'all good. Hockey fans are hockey fans, just with preferences.

I'll post mine in a tad.
