It seems we catch a little more interest every day, I plan on waiting untill the 15th. If by the 15th, we have 12-15 players(more would be AWESOME!), I'll go ahead and move along with the second phase of planning. This doesn't mean we'll stop taking players, I just feel 12-15 people would be enough to move ahead in planning, and just gather more people as time goes along. But keep telling your friends guys!

We have moved onto phase 2 of planning, choosing the realm we will be playing on. Poll will no longer be counted, and we are on a Normal server, Alliance being the faction. Please go to the following thread for part 2, this thread will no longer be regularly checked for posts.

Okay, basically I'm looking to find out how much interest the FFR community (the WoW playing part of it) would have in rolling on a new server, and starting a guild of nothing but FFR players. I'm sure, with 1.29million players, there has to be a TON of WoW players out there.

Those of us who visit the site regularly, posting on the forums or not, consider this to be like a virtual home. I don't spend near as much time on the forums as I do in chat/MP, so a lot of people are probably thinking "Who the hell are you?". I've been a member of the site for almost 1.5 years, and I play FFR quite often, usually in small periods of time where I just play a buttload over the course of a week or two, then switch to some other game, which, most of the time, is WoW. My basic idea here, is to create a guild, a sub-community of FFR inside of WoW. If we enjoy playing FFR together, why not play something else I'm sure that tons of us enjoy?

If you're interested, vote in the poll and post that you are interested. Hell, even if you aren't, vote anyway, I'm leaving a special spot open for "not interested".

If you're interested, think about some things:
Do I want to play Alliance or horde?
Do I want to play a normal, PvP, RP, or Pvp(RP)?
Which WoW do I play? Because Shantred is pulling this together on WoW(EN), not EU or CH.

I'm completely opening this up to the vast majority. I realize there aren't ANY servers that allow Horde and Alliance to be in a guild together, So we'll have to decide whether we(the vast majority) wants to be horde or alliance. If we end up voting for a faction that you don't like, then go ahead and play anyway, you never know what the other faction is like until you try.

After(and if) we find there is enough interest in something like this, we'll then start another poll, I'll search through the servers with specifications everyone voted for and we'll make a list and have people vote on them. I would prefer people who want to start on a brand spankin' new server, so nobody has too much of an advantage over everyone else.

Meh you can play it on thousands of different servers. I like fishtik.ca small and fast server. I played it for a day and was bored with WoW. That is all.

I hate not being able to get ganked (Which motivates me when I play), and I hate not being able TO gank or PvP at my own whim when I see the opposition...

Private servers are extremely lame. Unless they are exactly like the blizzard servers, they are actually MORE THAN lame, because they just allow people with no ability to level up themselves, expirience the fun parts of the game.

I actually already planned on naming it "Flash Flash Revolution"
1. It tells people exactly what the guild is, a bunch of FFR people playing WoW
2. It might just make some people ask questions, and get more players on FFR ^-^.

And I plan on getting this off the ground, If i really see that we may have trouble getting people, then once I see we have 10-15 people interested, i'll go ahead and start narrowing down information so we can start our playing. I'm sure if we actually have already up and running, it will be much easier to get people to join, because they'll have people to help them, etc. People like that sort of thing

yeah except everyone's on different server types and factions so that kind of complicates things a bit

I don't get why people favour one faction over the other. I like doing equal amounts of both for quest variety.

As for server type, I'm not fond of PVP just because it seems utterly pointless to me. There's only one benefit - being able to kill people lower level than you if you feel like it, which is in itself a waste of time but I suppose some people find it fun for some reason.

Cost? While levelling, you'll waste inordinate amounts of time corpserunning after being ganked that you'd be spending progressing otherwise. Raiding and events are a treat on PVP servers, too.

Won't complain if we take PVP as I have a few PVP characters, just my point of view.

EDIT: MrZombie, seeing as everyone has Kara gear and the only other raids that need attunement right now are Hyjal and BT, that's a good assumption to make, even if it doesn't matter because we cannot merge to one server, for the reason I said above.

Damn pally's...that's cheap...though very effective =P. But I'm attuned for Kara, but i've decided to pretty much give up on illidan, considering the ammount of attuning required for him is retarded, since there is just gonna be another expansion soon.

Hence the reason i'm starting this with brand new characters ^_^

Tokzic: Very effing true. I've played both sides, both to 70. They each have their ups and downs, in my opinion.
But as far as PVP goes, i'd prefer not for the exact reasons you listed. I like playing the game. If I wanted to get owned, i'd walk into WSG, walk to the middle, and press X. =/

Awww, c'mon, it will be epic! But yeah, completely re-rolling. How many people in FFR would gladly be like "$20 to switch to a new server? Not a problem at all!" -.- Probably not many. Maybe I should edit the main post and put that in there >.>. I'll put Maybe out beside your name. And if nothing else, at least do it and make an alt. Because I'm not sure how many others besides myself are gonna pretty much dedicate these characters as new mains

Glad to add you to the list. Tell anyone else that plays FFR, if you think they might be interested, we need all the people we can get. I'd love to be the first one to pull this off.
