Default Tennessee Vacation

So next Thursday I'll be on my way to Tennessee. Since I won't have a laptop, or wi-fi most likely, I'd like to know what are some cool locations to check out while I'm there? My uncle already told me he would take me to Memphis and check out some of the stuff there. Also I should mention this is the first time in about 10 years that I've taken a vacation out of the state, so I'd like it to be nice.

Oh, anyone that lives in the Columbia area? I think that's where I'll be staying, chill maybe?

What kinds of things are you into? (outdoors, night life, concerts, history, etc.)

I am from Nashville so I may be able to recommend a place or two.

Be careful in Memphis! I lived there a good chunk of my life. Sadly, Memphis in winter season is boring. Mud Island isn't open so you can't ride the tram across the wolf river :/. Other than that, Beale Street is fun, but once again be semi-aware because you'll get a lot of bums panhandling.

Yeah I really wanted to go to Mud Island, but actually I'm already planning on hitting up Beale Street. It's the first thing I want to do when I get down there, but then there's an entire week and a half of nothing to do haha.

Moreso now I'm just looking for people that kinda live down there and can hook me up with stuff...
