I liked FFIX.
Jesus Christ, I am not joking you. I seriously liked that game. Sure, there were some, uh, flaws. Including Necron acting like Yoda. Actually, more like Necron BEING there. Should have stopped at Trance Kuja.
But oh my god, I loved it. I owned most of the sidequests (didn't get to Mognet Central in time, and never killed Ozma though), and they were fun. Most of the Main quests were fun (except the one where you escape Kuja's Castle--Yawn), and involved. The plot was good, excluding the whole Necron thing, and maybe a couple other of much more minor things. But I liked it alot. So sue me.

I loved the setting of Final Fantasy IX. I also liked most of the characters, and the first two and a half discs were awesome.
Unfortunately, the game was hindered by a weak and clunky battle system, which to me is probably the most important part of an RPG. |

I played it a few months ago, beat the whole game in two days and I was level 27! BOYAH! (You know how hard the last boss is when you have 2,000 hp?) And yes, I like that game =p. |

Yea the game was too easy.
Beat it in like 20 hours and my guys were only in the 40's. I barely even cured. I just fucking attacked...he almost killed me but he died first...he had like No hp. Even ozma was a pussy. Could dispatch him in a couple good attacks. But the game was pretty fun. Unlike ff5...which is so stupidly hard its not even funny. ff10's monster arena and nemesis were pretty retarded too.

Augh, FFIX was so awesome. It was lacking in some areas, but simplicity did work for it, I feel. I thought the story was great, the characters were so easy to get attached to, and it wasn't overly complicated. I loved the bright and vibrant feel of it, along with the happy characters (save for the five minutes where Zidane thought he was Squall). It was just plain fun, bottom line.
Oh, and FFVIII ruled, as did FFVI, but they all get pwned by FFTactics. --Guido http://andy.mikee385.com |

I liked FFIV and FFV the most.
FFVIII was really bad for me so I don't play FF after that. |

FFV was hard. ExDeath was like. Hard.
Ozma would be easy, other than the counterattack of Curaga for 8000 healing. Sigh. I never tested Ark on him, though.

Hmmm, of the ones I've played
FFVII>FFX>FFIX>FIII>FX-2>FFVIII FFVII, I have to admit, was extremely fun. Just all of the extra's included in the game, I didn't care for the main plot that much, but everything else was awesome. I liked FFX, so sue me. Blitzball was fun and I liked the battle system. Half-decent plot too. FFIX I really like, except a few of the charicters just pissed me off =p. Also some of the normal enimies were harder then the bosses, that confused me. I couldn't beat a SINGLE NORMAL ENIMIE in the last dungeon , of course I was only in my high 20s/low 30s. FIII, whee, love the plot and magic system, but the graphics irritate me after a while. Good game though. FFX-2 had no plot... at all. That being said, it was suprisingly fun and had the best battle system of any of the final fantasies. I beat it in my low 40s, the last boss never got me below 3/4 hp... and I rarely healed... FFVIII, I hated that game. Everything about it. The draw system sucked, I hated the charicters except *maybe* squall. I didn't like the summons and the plot seemed too dragged out for me. The card game was fun, that is all. (Oh, and I hated upgrading weapons) |

Depends which side is up. He can switch. If he does holy, do it to the light side. Shadow, do it to the dark side.

I really liked FF9 as well. I thought the storyline was really good. The battle system may have been simple, but it worked for me. Personally I don't think learning abilities from your weapons and armor was such a bad thing... I thought it was much better than the junction system from FF8. The Chocobo treasure hunting sidequest was really cool as well. One of my favorite sidequests ever.
Ozma was a total pain in the ass. While Emerald and Ruby Weapon from FF7 and Omega Weapon from FF8 were pretty easy with the right strategy, I had to rely on luck to beat him. Not only does he heal himself for around 8000 a lot, his Curse attack tends to do massive damage and leave my party totally crippled. Even if you equip armor that absorbs shadow damage I still found Ozma really hard. Of all of the FF games I've played, I would have to rate them like this: FFT > FF9 > FF7 > FF8 > FFTA. |

Did you get Hades? Cause that quest is fun to do,get tons of levels doing that one.
FFIX was great, didn't understand why stupid *** Necron was even in the game but oh well..and I didn't get the ending I wanted at the end and I tried keeping the hammer at the end and using it...stupid game. |

How do you get the hammer?
I beat hades and stuff. Yeah. Next time I'm gonna get the Save the Queen so I can get a tasty alternate ending. Same with the Stellazio. But Cinna's hammer. How you get?

If I remember correctly... I think to get Cinna's Hammer you have to get the 13th Stellazio coin. First you have to get the first 12 and return them, and then the 13 will be hidden in Quan's Dwelling. Don't remember exactly where though.

Oh and Moogy, you CAN damage Ozma using Ark. He even damages himself with Doomsday. Just complete the "Give me a [stone]" sidequest. You know those friendly monsters that begs for a certain stone. The last friendly monster is the Yan and after you give him a Diamond, you can attack Ozma physically and remove his immunity to dark attacks like Ark and Doomsday. To anyone who says Omega Weapon was easy: Beat him without Holy War/War Trial and Hero/ Hero Trial. Took me a lot of times to beat him without those invincible items. Edit: Ha.. I forgot to add Angelo's Invincible that acts like a Holy War. |
