Low Res is down.
I go to FFR The Game on the dropdown menu on the homepage, go to Low Res, and it loads up to the blue background and about 1/3 of the normal page length. The ads on the side are replaced by blue text saying "Site Credits" and "FFR RSS FEED"
I would just try an FFR mirror, but since low res doesn't work on ANY mirrors, (HTTP 404 Not Found), I can't do that. Is this just me? And why is it that Low Res doesn't exist on any mirrors? |

Re: Low Res is down.
Damn... So is there any reason the address for low res not being found on any mirror? That's not possible for it to be my suckish computer if the URL doesn't exist.
Not Found The requested URL /FFR_low_res.php was not found on this server. Apache Server at www.studenteducation.net Port 80 Is the exact message I get on all mirrors. Except the studenteducation.net part, substitute it with ffr3, ffr4, xqsite, thewerewolfgame, and arch0wl. Its not a message from FireFox either, like when you type in an address wrong. If I typed in an address wrong, I'd get this: "Address Not Found Firefox can't find the server at http://www.dfgjonweklgjnefiopgunstkl...nsrtjhynrt.com. The browser could not find the host server for the provided address. * Did you make a mistake when typing the domain? (e.g. "ww.mozilla.org" instead of "www.mozilla.org") * Are you certain this domain address exists? Its registration may have expired. * Are you unable to browse other sites? Check your network connection and DNS server settings. * Is your computer or network protected by a firewall or proxy? Incorrect settings can interfere with Web browsing." Low res isn't on mirrors. Why is that? Last edited by NumiGamer; 03-14-2009 at 11:22 AM.. |

Re: Low Res is down.
Okay, this is getting bad. I can't play FFR on high res because my computer can't handle it. If I put on low quality its fine until 15 seconds in the song, where it freezes completely for about 6 seconds. If I don't fail that happens about every 45 seconds afterwards. Low Res still doesn't work. Any suggestions? Please?

Re: Low Res is down.
It does appear that low res FFR is down.. I haven't checked normal res yet.
My suggestion would be to contact an administrator about this. In this thread, Sprite says he believes the only active admin with access to the File Transfer Protocol is Synth, but he won't be back until sometime next week. I suppose you could contact Synth and wait until then.

Re: Low Res is down.
Well it must be a personal setting of yours, because it's showing up fine for me.

Re: Low Res is down.
Pretty much what Sprite said, try disabling certain add-ons and try it out.
Worst comes to worst, just use ffrndanotherway.swf and shrink your browser, the game window shrink with your browser. Considering low-res is the same exact thing as normal just put into a smaller dimensioned area or whatever, it's the same exact thing. Last edited by [TeRa]; 03-15-2009 at 08:46 PM.. |

Re: Low Res is down.
Ok, I tried clearing my cache, didn't work.
Then I tried disabling my add-ons one by one, both signed on and off, to no avail. Then I tried IE and it worked fine. I have a hard time believing it's any settings of mine since I effectively removed all of them. Maybe low res simply won't work with the latest version of firefox for some reason? It's not much of a big deal, since you could always either use IE, or TeRa's example for perfectly imitating low res.

Re: Low Res is down.
Hm, well since I've nothing better to do tonight, I'll restart firefox.
If that doesn't work, it might be some sort of computer settings, though I couldn't imagine what. EDIT: Wow that took way ****ing longer than it should have - my connection stopped working for quite some time during this ;_; Anyway still no dice. Latest firefox and flash version, running xp, full hardware acceleration (though I don't know if that'd make a difference).. I'm clueless, haha. But again, not a big problem since there's IE and TeRa's fix.

Re: Low Res is down.
Wait. Isn't FFRndanotherway.swf the original? With no avg. miss fix?
And its still down on my computer. I only have a theme I've had for over a month, the Java plugin, and the Flash plugin. I don't get it. IE on my computer is... unimaginably slow. That's not an option. I've only got 256 mB of RAM. The system is 8 years old. It can't handle IE anymore. Thats just it. I'll try TeRa's way. See if it works. |
