Default London Subways witnesses Terror Attack!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/4659093.stm

Earlier, 9:30 British time, 6 explosions occured in the subways and buses. Al Queda sp? gihad cell already claimed responsibilty of the attacks. This, while leaders of G8 were meeting only 500 miles away. Closing the trains in London severly hurts their transportation. Luckily, only 5 are pronunced dead at the moment.

This number is at 40 right now and will likely rise into the hundred(s).. My thoughts go out to PurplePoise as I know her dad works for the subway system in London.

Cheers,

We were having a very...'intelligent' talk about it in the chat room. So far 3 people have insisted on saying 'omg only liek 3 people got killed', in which I turn my caps lock on.
I woke up because there's a horrible thunder storm, I was sleeping on the couch. I woke up watching the news and I was like 'omg Jen'. Sooo...

Some good news, people were trapped on one of the trains, now they are all off. The official death toll is at 33, but that's not counting the double-decker bus that got it's top blown off. Also, there are many injured, so it may rise.

Geez, I thought England would have been less likely to be hit by something like that. That's terrible. I have some cousins who live in England, and I know how they must feel.

My sympathy to all Londoners.

There were only 4 explosions.
Officially, 40 people are dead; 390 are injured.

LONDON - Four blasts rocked the London subway and tore open a packed double-decker bus during the morning rush hour Thursday, sending bloodied victims fleeing in the worst attack on London since World War II. Three U.S. law enforcement officials said at least 40 people were killed and London hospitals reported more than 350 wounded in the terror attacks.

I immediatly thought of PurplePoise and Blitz when I heard about this so I feel weird.
I didn't know Purple's dad worked for that subway there. I hope everything is okay for her.
Blitz, IS your family alright?

Well I didn't really think "OMG I HOPE BLITZ AND PURPLE ARE STILL ALIVE!" since I don't really know what part of England they live in exactly. I just thought about them.

I found out about it when I woke up to someone on teamspeak talking about it.

Ok my family are all alright and it was pretty creepy because if they had gone to work today they would have surely died or been severly hurt. Gladly they took the day off.
There were 7 explosions all around the major train ports. Alot of the trains are already being put on track though. I think things will resume back to normal soon so this won't last long.

A lot of my really close friends are over there on a band tour, in London. I'm so worried...

I'm hoping the best for you, Jen and Blitzoo.

That's awesome. My older brother is a Marine and my younger brother is planning to join too. I'd join if I wasn't such a sissy.
