it's just the standard deviation of your judgment offset multiplied by 10.

Anyone know why I keep getting this Out Of Rank thing all the time? I keep losing a lot of good scores because of it =/ I'm just playing normally and it randomly happens. It's getting really frustrating.

I don't have much clue regarding that because saving scores isn't something that I touch at all in the theme.

I have no idea what might be causing that problem. If no scores at all are saving or loading, I expect something is getting in the way of saving or loading the score file. Where do you have Stepmania installed? Are you using a portable.ini file?

This doesn't happen often. It's pretty random. I didn't know about the portable.ini until way after I installed SM5 so it's all just in appdata. You think moving it might help? Worth a shot.

Probably already been asked/answered, but I was just wondering if there is a way to remove the judgement for every note you hit? Cause I've had it turned off in ffr for some time, going back to SM makes it feel like there is a screen cut where the judgement is.

Check "blind" in options before starting a song.

I think it's more optimal to manually move the judgment window somewhere where it's not visually disturbing. While blind does hide judgment, it's more difficult to know if you actually hit marv/perfects. If you're just playing casually, it may be worth a try.

Sadly, I'm no expert when it comes to knowing how to move things around.

Actually, if it's consistently the same songs, maybe you're being disqualified for using a cmod on a song that has stops. Go turn off the disqualification pref.

Oh, I'm actually not sure if it's the same songs or not. I've never noticed. I'll give that a shot later tonight. I thought it was off already but maybe something turned it back on.

The theme will be migrating to 5.1 alpha releases so the master branch will not be compatible with 5.0.x releases anymore.

If you're pulling from git and are still using 5.0.x versions, checkout from the 5.0 branch instead. For everyone else, just download from here.


EDIT:
Everything that was in 5.0.10 should be working for 5.1.a2 now with the exception of mid-game speed changes and hidden+/sudden+ lanecovers.

Except more settable preferences for player options for the 5.1/master branch since nested options are a thing in 5.1.

Where can I set the background to static on songs that have a video? There was an option for that in the last version, but I can't find it anywhere now.

Yeeeah that's kinda missing from the theme atm.

I can't add them back right now since there are some things missing for the nesty menu for the last 5.1 release.

Not sure if this is a theme-related question, but how do I get rid of the combo "tilt" animation? I was able to remove the bouncing from judgment and combo, but I can't get rid of the slight tilt that the combo shows every few dozen hits.
