Now find an actual sound file of the version currently in FFR. All I'm finding are ugly violin versions of it lol.

1. I have added more songs' origins to the first post. Feel free to check it out

2. Thanks everyone for support and contribution. Be careful not to repeat songs that someone already posted

3. I have spent hours of wiki-ing, googl-ing, youtub-ing, listening and comparing, double checking and triple checking JUST TO MAKE SURE that those origins are TRUE ORIGINS. This is a tough and time-consuming work so I am progressing very slowly

4. I am still figuring out an efficient way to manage the (potentially) huge list of songs and their respective origins. I need answers to the following questions:
a. Do I need to categorize the songs? If so, by which category? Genre? Difficulty?
b. Do I need to sort the songs? If so, in which order? Alphabetical one? By Genre? By Difficulty?
c. How to search for songs efficiently in this list if it goes to multiple pages in this thread (I hope it will though lol)? Ctrl-F surely fails if there are too many pages.

Here's my suggestion:

Organize the post as such (open all of them)--

Put all Dance songs with their origins in this

Do this for each genre

Keep ALL posted origins in your main post, including ones other people post, that way they all stay together and you don't miss any.

You could even add a thing at the bottom of your post like this:
Origins updated to post ###
just to keep track of which ones you've added to your main post.

Quote this post to see how to use the spoiler tags if you don't know.

As this grows, I would recommend sorting by song ID so we can match say Song ID 937 with the 937th song on the list, etc.

Or you could do that as well.

regardless, I'd just suggest using at least one spoiler tag so it doesn't end up as a massive post unless someone wants it to be by opening the spoiler tag

I have a few.

FFR Song Mute City Remix
Origin F-Zero

FFR Song Gradeus
Origin Gradius

FFR Song Clash On The Big Bridge
Origin Fight on Big Bridge from FFVI (i think might have the game wrong, or just refer to origin of BB Evolution/Revenge/Euro)

FFR Song UNknown Girl
Origin UN Owen Was Her? from Touhou (I think Zun wrote this song)

FFR Song Here We Go
Origin Super Mario 64

FFR Song Final Fintasy Last Battle Festival
Origin Compilation of a bunch of stuff from the Final Fantasy games

FFR Song Red Wings Over Baron
Origin Compilation of a bunch of stuff from the Final Fantasy games

FFR Song Radius ~Hacker no Yabou~
Origin Gradius

FFR Song Super Mario 8bit Eighties Remix
Origin Mario

These are the ones I could think of. Feel free to correct me if I got any of these references wrong/some were already used in this thread.

If I remember correctly, it uses parts from the final battle themes from Final Fantasys IV, V, VII, and IX.

Actually, it's all from Final Fantasy IV. From what I can remember the order is "Red Wings Over Baron", "Battle", "Battle With the Four Fiends", "Dungeon", "Boss Battle", "Fanfare", and finishes with "Battle vs. Zeromus".

You know what's helpful that not everyone is doing is to list not only the origins but the original song name. For example, you can say that Mario Minor came from Super Mario Bros., but what song/stage/theme did it derive from? I know it's a bit more work, but it would definitely make this list more comprehensive.

FFR Song: Zelda Stormy
Origin: Legend of Zelda games (I know it was in Oceania of time but not sure if it was in any earlier games.) remix of "Song of Storms."

FFR Song: Epilogue
Origin: Darkshark posted This thread.

@ the UNkown girl post: Yes the original composer was Zun.

FFR song: MAX Forever
Origin: It's a medley of songs with DM Ashura using his own sounds and bits from songs in the DDR games. Songs/sound clips that are used are (in no particular order): Max Unlimited, Max 300, Afronova, Paranoia (many of the versions of this song contain the same sound clip modified multiple ways), Sakura, Healing D-Vision, Dynamite Rave (not sure on this one, kinda iffy on the sound), and Legend of Max.

Just what came to mind:

"Keep It Short" is a remix of "Your Name Please" from Mother 2/EarthBound

"Chrome Gadget Zone 8bit mix" is a remix of the Chrome Gadget music from Sonic 3

"Toxic" is a remix of Britney Spears's "Toxic"

"300" uses samples of Rick Tonic's "Everybody (We Are Loud)"

"Epidermis" uses samples of Siouxsie & The Banshees' "Skin" and Drexciya's "Triangular Hydrogen Strain"

I'd just like to add for Monstrous Turtles! that the base track is used while going through Bowser's castle, too. So it's a legit castle theme instead of sub-castle.
