AAA's =/
I just wanted your guys' opinions. I can easily FC songs up to about difficulty 8 but when it comes to AAAing songs, it's just not happening. I only have two AAA's, both for level 1 songs. If I am ok enough to FC lvl 8 songs, shouldn't I be able to AAA songs over lvl 1? Am I just sucking or do you think my computer is just lagging. Thanks.

Re: AAA's =/
that and also smack the keys really hard in the right spot so you can get used to hitting perfects. you have to memorize the spot basically

I have the same problem bro, I mean still though, what are the odds of just hitting each and every single note perfectly? I think everyone else is just amazing at the game :C

Obviously though, as you play and get better, this window will shrink to a much smaller amount of time. If you can recignise the arrows coming in within like .2 seconds for example, your percentage will be much higher in terms of hitting them. When people start rhythm games like this, they tend to feel as though some things are going to be extremely difficult or impossible (as I did). If you keep playing though, your skill wil increase many times over. Hell, in even a months time you could probably have an entire new outlook on what is "impossible" and "attainable" for you. It's pretty amazing what the brain can do really.

Re: AAA's =/
The only instant solution is to solve any lag issues you're having (maybe trying a stand alone player, ect.) but otherwise it just comes with time. I was in the same boat - I could FC 9's and 10's before I could AAA 3's and 4's.
Getting the standalone player is what helped me the most - I went from AAAing 3's and 4's to 5-7's. Try downloading Stepmania and creating your own of file patterns you mess up on, like trill or jack practice. This can help specific issues. |

Re: AAA's =/
K thx everyone. I got the stand-alone (helps alot =]) and I made some "exercises" in step-mania. The standalone itself cut my good to perfect ratio in 1/2. I know I've gotten better since I started playing so I guess skill does come with time. K, thx everyone!

Re: AAA's =/
being able to AAA in any rhythm game is a matter of getting used to its particular visual timings (time note appears on screen, shape/sizes/sweetspots, etc).
while proficiency in one can be carried over to another, AAAing will require of familiarity that requires specific knowledge

AAA Pita if you haven't yet. Pretty sure that was my friend's first. He MIGHT have AAA'd Free Space but idk.
Edit: He has 4. Free Space, Excite Bike, Dance 2 This, and Pita. Try all of those. (Trip to the Moon might be good too)

As for everyone else being masters, it's probably just how there rarely seems to be a middle in this game. Those who are here tend to either be really bad, or really good. Those that are better are most likely more active in the community, and most likely you'll hear and see much more good players than bad ones. Not to say that not as good players can't be active, but that the better ones are usually more active in that respect.

I think the middle of the pack players (active only) would be listed somewhere between D1 and D2 |

Re: AAA's =/
What I do when i try to AAA(may not work at that well for lower levels though) is play a few levels higher than the one i want to AAA.
ex. If i want to AAA a 7, I normally play 8-9 level songs, than when i play the 7 it's much easier since I got used to playing really hard songs. Just my bit of advice, good luck on yer AAAing (:
