Default Since when did Chardish become TWG god?

Yes, I realize that he brought the game to this site.

Yes, I realize that he puts more effort into the game then anyone else likely does.

However, this does not mean that all decisions pertaining to the game are his alone to make with no discussion from others.

By the way, this is a response to blahblah's thread being locked.

I think we should vote on official rules. This topic will probably be locked, though. =\

Chardish and I discussed this, since I am the host and all.

We came to the conclusion that jTWG players, dead or alive, can play in the real TWG. We offered them a warning that it is going to be tought juggling both roles, but they accepted the challenge and signed up anyway.

There's nothing at fault here. Expect PMs in a few minutes.

Indeed you (blahblah) did. You're smart enough to see it was already decided for this time. Also, I agree with you. When we discuss/vote on the official rules, this should definitly be included. If you are an active member in one TWG game, you can't participate in another. Sounds fair, no?

I locked it because there was already a discussion pertaining to TWG going on, and another thread was not needed.

And I said it was up to Chardish, because he brought TWG to FFR, and has made all the important decisions regarding the game in the past.

EDIT: And I am very tempted to lock this one. People have noted that this is turning into the TWG forum, and seeing that the last 5 topics are TWG releated, I can see why.

But locking isn't the answer!
Where can the ideas be discussed then?
It needs its own threasd space.

Since I can't unlock and edit my own topic, I'll just say it here.

PMs have been sent. Everybody should have gotten one. If you didn't, wait a while, then PM / AIM me because I might have mixed up the thousands of numbers that occur after your username.

RANT TIME!

Alright, most of you are whining, BIG TIME. I mean, who cares really if jTWG is in here? If they were accepted, they must've been seen fit to join. If you really want to discuss something, discuss the level of playability for a person to join, or people having to have a certain post amount, like 500, and half of those being meaningful. That and it makes it harder for those who are still in jTWG and are in TWG as well.

You all are just complaining, and even then, the joining window is extremely short. If you don't want jTWG to really be in, then I have a proposition that both sides might like. How about (for next TWG, seeing as this one is already started) only like, the first two at least, four at most, jTWG signers can join, yet all the rest are ignored (unless the jTWG person who is joining is not fit for such a thing yet).

Go ahead, flame me now, don't care. I'm just stating some actual intelligence for BOTH sides than saying 'So-and-so shouldn't join!' (well, in a way, I am, but it's actually reasonable).

How about, everybody else thinks jTWG people shouldn't be allowed to join future games. You fail to realize that one of the reasons jTWG was made was because the signups fill so fast in TWG. jTWG isn't just for people who suck, it's for people who missed the TWG signups. Therefore, if you're in one, you can't be in the other.

Besides, it's bound to be confusing having two roles and having to keep track of 2 games at once. In the future, it shouldn't be allowed, plain and simple.

If those people want to be confused, let them.

I never said everyone got into TWG VIII for any reason. What I said was that I wouldn't turn someone away just because they were in TWG VIII. Letting jTWG players sign up for TWG is a policy of non-discrimination, not affirmative action. DDRadicted got the boot because I questioned his intelligence. Others (Afro, Jurs, Tsuteto, M-A-C) did not.

We can be elitist bastards based on intelligence, but there's no point officially recognizing this second game. I treat it like it doesn't exist.

well its 2 sides... One was TWG is for elitist bastards and jTWG is for anyone...
the other is TWG fills up fast so jTWG is for people that missed a spot.
Decide the purpose of jTWG and your answer on this scenario is rather apparent.

From what I've seen, Chardish does a pretty good job of maintaining and making decisions regarding TWG. He didn't lock the suggestions thread for future TWG games. And he works hard to make sure each new game is promptly started soon after the last one ends. I have the feeling he doesn't get enough credit.

Will it really hurt to give people that haven't played before, even those in jTWG, a chance? There are probably some people still out there (myself included until yesterday) that tried to sign up but have missed them, and still haven't secured a slot. Please, don't confine it to a small group. There are others in these forums more than fit to play TWG who haven't yet. I'm sure of it.

May be this new kid won't be so bad.

And blah, either way it would exclude jTWG players. If they used jTWG to get a spot, they have what they wanted. If they're stupid and signed up there, then they don't deserve to play TWG. Either way, I think it should be a rule that it's one or the other, even if we make a second TWG (like, if there ever becomes a TWG forum).

When jTWG was started, the purpose was to give more people a chance to play, right?

I'll accept the other hosts' judgment on this, but look at it this way- if people are playing both TWGs at once, it lowers the number of spots available.

I wouldn't play one if I was in the other, but you guys can do it if you can handle it. Also, I'll make more spots in the jTWG so even more people can get to play.

Oh, and by the way, jTWG should be over pretty soon, so we can deal with this in more detail in several days.

I'm thinkin, we hold off on another jTWG, wait for this TWG to finish, and hopefully I'll have more people to fill the spots I need (if I am host next time)
