Stepartist Report Cards
Yeah I'm bored and wanted to post a thread on here hahaa. this is just my opinion and all of that disclaimer stuff.
Dark Chancellors dew pros: creative steps, pretty easy to follow cons: some of his files are a bit overlong, necrofantasia favorite file: Express Love B rebirth pros: steps are technically correct, some are quite fun cons: not very creative, hasn't made anything amazingly epic imo favorite file: Nanairopanda C kommisar pros: steps put fun first, easy to pick up which isn't always the case with Dark Chancellas, funny song choices cons: I guess sometimes files get a bit too creative (see end of Feast of Eternity) favorite file: I dunno tbh. he's probably my favorite step artist as far as I can tell. Kamaitachi is still pretty awesome to me though A kneegrow pros: steps are super creative and fun cons: I dunno but his steps don't always click with me favorite file: ergosphere B puppet pros: always makes unique files at least. most of the time they're fun cons: rainbow notes favorite file: (F)AKE B+ kil pros: remembers what stepfiles are acually for: to express the music. cons: I don't see what's so great about Bedtime Story. favorite file: I'll get back to you on this A yesssss pros: good song choices topped off with solid and easy to follow steps. uses mines well cons: ....most files I would have done completely different but that's subjective. favorite file: Dream Pattern (sorry I'm a sucker for this), Parasomnia actually rules a lot B+ dondon151 pros: technically makes masterpieces, steps are fun cons: misses interesting things sometimes, I kind of forget about his files later favorite file: Rescue! B hst pros: minimalism, basic layering ideas create pretty creative and fun steps. cons: once again I can't really remember most of his files sorry favorite file: Shin Onigashima B- tsuka pros: good steps, better at not abusing stuff than any other Dark Chancellor cons: not much really stands out to me as being something I'd absolutely need to play. favorite file: Enigma, Goblinz B- ducky pros: steps are some of the funnest ever made cons: yeah nothing that's a masterpiece but all of them are quite memorable favorite file: Animal Minimal A- hayden pros: straightforward, steps flow well cons: uh favorite file: Crow's Ghost B+ dj ossa pros: fun steps cons: overlayered steps favorite file: Belladonna, Fantazindy SMG2 era C-/current era B++ jimerax pros: playable steps with some interesting stuff cons: files are kind of a blur and most of them I only play about twice favorite file: Saikyou OX Keikaku B- necros pros: simple yet fun cons: nothing absolutely stands out to me but whatever they're good steps favorite file: Second Heaven, Poodle B+ macgravel pros: xmod cons: index favorite file: Mellann, Goblinz B vospi pros: makes good music I guess cons: I'm sorry vospi your steps don't make a lot of sense to me and they're not too fun. Ossa would disagree though. favorite file: You Wanna Me C- torajirou pros: good steps cons: abuses stuff sometimes (hehe the end of Tsugaru is so annoying) favorite file: Tsugaru (the mine abuse actually makes the file fun rofl) B stargroup pros: steps are okay, at least they're unique cons: piano demos, sometimes a bit elitist. favorite file: who knows B- linus pros: N/A cons: N/A favorite file: haven't played enough to decide N/A almsty pros: I don't see any sorry cons: steps are almost unplayable. maybe they're index files? (I could be wrong here) favorite file: none see me after class zaghurim pros: files were the first I played and I still play them cons: stepping method is obsolete but screw it your files rule favorite file: Hishoku no Sora A malice pros: Going My Subway cons: Shadow Queen Battle favorite file: Going My Subway B (serious comment: I really don't know what to think of his steps but they fit the music well sooo) amy pros: the only person whose steps I can as a whole apply the term "artistic" to. fits the music well. cons: things are abused...a lot (mines in Saruin, minifreezes in Clock Tower, double freezes in Dusk's Holy Mark). favorite file: Banbustu B behanjc pros: decent steps from what I've seen cons: there's nothing I'd replay at all though. hasn't made anything standout yet favorite file: Negative Nature C+ glove pros: amazing steps all around, hasn't disappointed me much yet cons: because a lot of his files are long, they're hard to replay favorite file: Metropolis A- whocares pros: has a better sense of humor than most people (see Champion Freeverse). often pretty insightful cons: I'd like to see what he can do with a more mainstreamish song (VGM, whatever) but all of his song choices are a bit too out there favorite file: A Quick Death B patashu pros: steps are some of the most memorable I've played, files are always replayable cons: I don't know to be honest. probably one of my favorite steppers in the game right now favorite file: Cosmic Dust A- Xoon Representatives Gold Ferrari pros: straightforward steps that leave a bit room open for creativity cons: has a small file library, nothing really stands out after two or three plays favorite file: Loud Electronic Ferocious B- Vocaloid-Dude pros: one of the most helpful guys around, makes great steps overall cons: layering compromises are made in steps sometimes, needs to work on selective layering favorite file: Love Ward, Dark Blowhole B he loves gabba pros: getting better cons: still not there, needs to work on making his files more playable (0's jacks are an example) favorite file: One Phrase Blues C* *as a side note, you have gotten much better. keep making files dude. boost that C up to a B+ because you can. moches pros: N/A cons: N/A favorite file: N/A N/A Mr. Bob pros: made good files back in the day cons: steps have difficulty/layering imbalance sometimes. note I said "made". come back dude we miss you favorite files: ORATIO, Night and Day B- N.T.M. pros: Glove Jr, solid files. cons: spends too much time blathering about subjectivity in his readmes. favorite files: Vadrum 3, Into the Oblivion. Re: Stepartist Report Cards

Re: Stepartist Report Cards
Thanks CBR, haha. Took me an hour and a half from start to finish
I plan to add a section for all of the smaller Xoon steppers soon. If I remember, I'll add a section for solo too. |

lol I'm a perfectionist =P. Any apparent inconsistencies must be explained (again and again and again). Ha ha.

Re: Stepartist Report Cards
You know at first I was quite skeptical when i love gabba got his first accepted file into Xoon 4.
Now he's gotten a few more, and judging from moches' grade, I'm a little excited as to see how he's improved. At least I won't get an F for not stepping solo. ;D Seriously guys try it.

Re: Stepartist Report Cards
I've improved quite a bit too, haha. My Xoon 3 and Drama Pack submissions were all garbage. Having 7 files in Xoon 4 (including collabs) is pretty sweet and should show that I've improved as compared to before
Also dump incoming. I didn't give grades because I dislike actually scoring. Amy Pros: Great musical representation and song choices. Cons: N/A Favourite file(s): Banbutsu Kairaku Riron & Battle With Saruin aperson Pros: Tranzport Cons: Smudge and all other files. I spent a good amount of time analyzing Necrofantasia and LCMS. BTW, LCMS is pretty much the reason why I started stepping Dark Phoenix tracks, lmfao.
