Seeing as Fission isn't even banned anymore and hasn't posted reviews for files sent over a month ago I'm gonna go ahead and call it dead.
And its not like Nathan (ilikexd) couldn't have posted reviews in the time he was banned anyway. So yeah. RIP

i spent time judging 79 ffr submissions and stepping 8 simfiles and 2 collaborations for ffr during this period

i'll try to get to some submissions when i start judging the next batch, although i know fission doesn't have the same time

i had a lot of irl problems involving personal health, and annoying housing situation at college at the start of the semester

there are no plans to just forget and let this die, so the rip spam is a little irritating

manage how?

i posted earlier in the thread on this page that there would be a delay, didn't leave anything in the dark -- we had to take a break at the end of january, and will post reviews again soon. and we don't wanna rush anything because we're really focused on qc.

doing homework and paper now and as soon as i'm free i'll get to subs since i finished stepping for ffr and ffr judging hasn't started yet - might be tonight but definitely tomorrow

I forgot about this lol was supposed to be stepping stuff for this, but I think I got too intimidated with the fact files must be a masterpiece/perfection to be accepted. Might get back into it tho

Idk, to me it just seems like the vast majority of people who start packs here eventually stop paying attention to them and let them just kind of drift about for a while. This has happened with 6 or 7 packs since I started coming here.

I guess I expected people to pay more attention and commit more time to their work so that people don't start to make assumptions about the state of a pack. Maybe your time really is that limited and you really just don't have the time but I know this probably isn't the case for a lot of other packs that have started here recently.

That's just my opinion I guess.

the bpm and notation of the entire chart is incorrect: the actual tempo is 70 bpm

the hold lengths were shorter than the actual notes in the music, and usage thereof was pretty inconsistent

beginner chart is way too easy and doesn't represent the music well at all


A Tale of Six Trillion Years and A Night (Kaneh) - REJECTED

beginning should be synced appropriate instead of using color notes
you can feel free to use a very low bpm to accentuate the slow piano with more colors, but not an improportional bpm

starting 14s the chart should be 186 bpm, double what you currently have it. it would be ok to leave some of the quiet parts at half bpm, but as it is right now so many 32nds aren't appropriate and you have the crash cymbal falling on all the blue notes in some spots

minijacks to repeating notes in the melody are fine, but then you also use minijacks for so many other sounds like drums of various volume and it doesn't make much sense when playing through, and artificially increases difficulty where it doesn't need to be

24.5s it's fine how you layered this, and in these spots i think it's fine to halve the bpm, but all the anchors, chains and jacks don't make sense as there are no loud sounds or anything repeating (besides occasional vocal)

51s using all hands for snare here and a quad and ignoring the vocals isn't a great layering choice - it would be better to accent the vocals using hands

57s in this section it's the same problem with there being anchors everywhere not going to any sounds and placed seemingly to groups of vocals even though they're changing in pitch and not forceful enough to warrant jacks; however the 32nds at 63.5s are fine as minijacks

66s more sounds being stepped as jacks. its better to just have this stepped as a trill rather than a long jack leading into a 1handed hand. being more sparing with your jack usage to the sounds that sound heavier would create a lot more harmony as jacks more arbitrarily placed that the player can't understand are frustrating

78.2s there's a missing 32nd, those 192nd notes don't go to anything or are misplaced

78.9s this 16th jacks is going to piano that is changing in pitch, just use different columns for the notes

80.7s 192nd note is early, the piano grace note is after the 4th. also the hold and the 32nd hold after it arent going to anything

81.7s trill is inaccurate, it's much faster than 32nds

82s 64th notes are inaccurate

83.7s it's questionable to bring in the percussion here with the jack, but if you want to it should only be the last 2 notes for where the snare is, and you can also step the crash cymbal

85.2s hold doesnt go to anything and trill is inaccurate like the previous one

the rest of the chart has the same jack/anchor problem as the first half. jack usage is too random, and the bpm needs to be fixed


Burgers Out (plopadop) - ACCEPTED

you used mostly 1handed anchors in the 32s section, i think it could be balanced out with more 2handed ones, accepted as is anyway


Roze (Wafles vs. rCaliberGX) - CONDITIONAL

43.397s should just be a single note
49.09s missing note
60.787s should be jump
64.57s there should be 2 notes right before this 4th, not one, same problem with 49.09s
67.391s if you step this as a single you should 64.858s too
69.193s should be jump
77.144s same issue as 64.57s, 49.09s, needs 1 more strings note
91.361s ditto
95.128s note is too early, and quantize these as 16ths
95.579s continue using holds for strings, also a few missing notes after the 8th
96.188s should be jump
100.887s should be jump
103.185s ditto -- ( i actually recognize you're intentionally not stepping the bass note as a jump, but think it would be much better to do so) -- this will apply to other times in the chart not specified here
108.32s should be another note for strings
111.151s missing note
114.912s 2 missing strings notes
115.775s should be another strings note
129.5s jump usage doesnt make sense around this part
138.772s missing note
142.866s, 143.211s should be jumps
144.351s missing 32nd
153.676s missing 48th (before the 48ths start)
155.830s missing 32nd
167.529s just ignore the 32nds here or step all of them, dont inconsistently do it within the same beat
173.288s ghost note
176.15s there should be at least 1 more note for the strings
178.545s needs one more note

some work needs to be done to fix some inconsistencies and minor errors, but the structure is all there

i don't mind how you stepped the intro per se, it was actually pretty cool and i was wondering what would come next, but nothing really did. took what felt like forever to get to the climax and everything between was just not worth playing through in comparison with the beginning and end. however i do think this would be quite unique/inter esting if you were to cut out a lot of the middle so there isn't such a long wait where not much happens

this is fucking dope. only comment on hard chart is that you're gonna piss off a good amount of people with some of the mines, but it's fine either way
@ easy chart did you just send in a wip by accident? last quarter is totally empty except for like a few jumps every 20 seconds. whats going on there? i can either delete the whole chart or just end it at the final hand you placed
