since 1983 - gonna have to give the edge to cataclysm's version. accurately stepped and well accentuated.

holy thunderforce - well just about what I'd expect from an icyworld file. generic dumpstream. I won't be making a decision on this unless nobody else steps it. it's certainly not inaccurate, just not my cup of tea.

you mean i made a good file right? wasn't cataclysm's the file that got rejected for using 16ths instead of 12ths? you didn't give any notes on what was wrong so i only can assume you like it. i did realize i forgot to fill out the credits for the song (other than the folder name)

BOY THIS IS EMBARASSING I was judging duk amok's edit chart and I liked it better oop.

in your file the 32nds were a mess and unnecessary, the whole file is overlayered especially during hold parts. file is also slightly late sync-wise. the end also has holds when there is no sound which hst would murder you for.

otherwise yeah much better than cataclysm's by a landslide.

i know it aint the point, its just that the most famous pack probably ever, which like any uninformed dude trying to get dem some of that swagidelic stepman action, aint really the best way to actually get into it.

my 2 favorite files i ever made, szycag and windowlicker, all had an array of difficulties, and thank god they got kept.

hell if i get the time to produce me a file for this pack, best believe im gonna put in more than one difficulty. when i did charts for thirdstyle, rather other people liked those files are not, i put a lot of heart in those easy and medium charts. and i played the shit out of those charts.

i mean all of this is just suggestions from my irrelevant ass, you aint gotta take them, im just saying it would be nice.

tl;dr:
all im saying is a pack doesn't have to be tailored towards people that aint been able to git gud yet, don't need to force you to git gud to play, you know?


PS: on the topic of thirdstyle, there is a chart "Seventh Gate to Hell" I made beginner, easy, and medium for that song, and johnny did the hard chart. I charted my own version of the hard chart for Yolomania 2, and if i didn't know that the other difficulties where just gonna get deleted, i might have included those other charts in with it as well. shit i have more fun playing my medium for that than my yolomania hard.

EDIT: that moment when you look through the spreadsheet and realize that the Claimed By column doesn't mean that the chart is done. So many Ns...

Sent in version 2 of Battle Ax and Tightwad

For Battle Ax:

- I think I fixed the opening synth sound. There were definitely steps missing that should be filled in now, plus a couple pattern rearrangements
- Lots of filled in 16ths for the drum and bass
- Fixed the freezes near the end - now jumps that should reflect the music
- Essentially redid the whole ending. Makes a lot more sense now.

For Tightwad:

- Changed some 32nd patterns in the beginning
- Replaced freezes with small bursts
- Added a ton of missing 16ths, should be a lot more noticeable now

Both resubs include the gfx and cdtitles I made. Hopefully everything is a little more to your liking!
