And a week in Bald Knob where I don't have to do anything and I don't get annoyed at my mom and I can sleep a lot and there are no family catastrophes.

To be slightly materialistic, I would appreciate a Vaio Laptop, a digital camera, and some pretty clothes. Oh, and an apartment that doesn't suck and cost $1200 a month.

EDIT: And also a haircut.

I want people to start calling it "Christmas" instead of pretending it's some sort of dirty word and insisting on "the holidays."

If you're offended that people assume you celebrate a holiday that you don't, you need to lighten up. Period.

Because Christmas has traditionally been a gift-giving holiday and other holidays have only in modern times followed suit. I thought Jews gave gifts during Yom Kippur? Am I wrong?

I object to the usage of Christmas decorations, Christmas songs, Christmas music in commercials, Christmas colors, Christmas trees, Santa Claus, Christmas ornaments, etc. yet the refusal to acknowledge any of those as being related to "Christmas."

Chard: Yom Kippur is the day of repentance. We fast, do not wash ourselves, or perform anything that might be fun (no touching, no kissing, etc.)

As for holiday decorations and gifts--my mom puts lights on our house and on the tree in the front yard. Blue and white lights, yes, but she calls it our "Hannukah bush" which makes me insane. The kids in the family get 7 days of little gifts or one large gift if they ask for that. I'm no longer a kid, so I get pretty much nothing. But everyone gets chocolate gelt.

What I want for Chrismahannukwanzaa...to know what on earth Tass got me. Because he won't say and I have a sinking feeling it's a dog toy.
