I hope we don't end up with songs like 竹取飛翔 once we figure out how to support unicode. Artistic characters can be neat (R∧IN, Little God Ch@nnel, etc.) l but it would be annoying to have to be able to read multiple languages just to know what song titles say.

We should always use romanization for the titles and have the real name in a thread (probably In-game Song Information, would be nice).

Same thing should apply to special characters when it makes the search in-game too difficult : "/\, @, é, à" etc.

Even if the font set supports Japanese characters, I don't think we'd actually utilize them anyways, because it would confuse many players in a mainly English-speaking site.

Fix to that should be something like two in a row or something of the sort I think.

Similar reason as to why \ used to show up every time someone posted ' in a random thought, because they were done like this \' before, then it wasn't needed anymore with the recode or whatever.

If you click the play button (NOT THE PREVIEW LINK BELOW), it'll load the song alright.

...More than once...

...Then thrice...

...Then A MASH OF MUSICAL NOTES OF MADNESS!!!

I can't hear anything.

This song doesn't work well with replays. If you pause during a replay, it keeps on playing.

I think both of those problems are side effects of the way this song bypassed the 16k frame limit. They may not be fixable

The velocity engine does not work properly with mac osx software only on the standalone client. Whenever I load a song, it displays the chart with 0 notes, and being completely finished, as the song progress bar is completely filled blue. The song ends after a few seconds with no music.

A bunch of people have stated that they have had this problem in the official Standalone thread, but no easy fix seems to be apparent. Thought I might bring this up, since I have been trying to use the velo standalone for aj's tourney on a macbook with lion osx.

Go to the Level Stats page and select The Games We Played (Full Edition). When you play it, multiple tracks play. So by the time the beginning jack would finish a first time, there is about a two second overlap. I don't know if this has any bearing on the sync issues that were reported, but it is certainly annoying to want to listen to all 17 minutes without having to play it and having it not work.

The length of Jamais Vu is listed as 4:15, but the frame of the last step of Jamais Vu is 4424, making the length 2:27 (4424 / 30 = 147.46 sec).

EDIT: considering the nature of how this file was converted, there likely are a number of others that are incorrectly labeled.

Relevant to the issue mentioned before: Nous has a listed length of 3:08, but the last frame of the song is 5305 (176.96 sec -> 177 sec = 2:57).

It plays behind the results screen music on legacy if you fail out. The drum beat with some scratching bit.

I dont know if anyone really cares, but you get one extra credit ALOT when playing FFR.
Like ill have 804 credits and earn 4 from a song and then my credit count will go to 809 and unless im really bad at math its not correct. not THAT big of a deal but it happens at least 15 times a day for me lol

EDIT: Actually just happened 3 times in a row, hmmm
Unless im missing something? odd

I started calculating the length of each songs by hand yesterday (from the moment the song start to the very last note). Figures might be off by 1 or 2 seconds so I didn't mark songs that were wrong by 2 seconds or less :

00.01 : 1:26 -> ~1:23 (-3)
136.6 : 2:55 (ok)
300 : 2:29 -> 2:21 (-8)
2008 : 2:22 -> 2:25 (+3)
3020 : 3:06 -> 3:01 (-5)
20031023 : 2:20 (ok)
*Twinklesky* : 2:05 (ok)
.357 Magnum : 2:09 (ok)
{A Change of Seasons} : 3:39 -> 2:48 (-51)
{Adrenaline Pumper} : 2:22 -> 2:10 (-12)
{Arabian Assassin} : 1:12 -> 1:17 (+5)
{Big Boss} : 1:24 (ok)
{Blaze} : 3:18 -> 2:53 (-25)
{Colossus} : 3:37 -> 3:40 (+3)
{Evolution} Out Stage : 1:32 (ok)
{Firestorm} : 2:38 -> 2:28 (-10)
{Frozen} : 2:46 (ok)
{I Don't Need You Anymore} : 5:05 -> 5:02 (-3)
{Lazy Summer Days} : 1:15 -> 1:26 (+11)
{Losing Touch} : 2:32 -> 2:29 (-3)
{Lost Memories} : 1:47 -> 1:29 (-18)
{Midnight} : 1:55 (ok)
{Paranorma} : 2:35 -> 2:32 (-3)
{Red Alert} : 1:14 (ok)
{Rose} : 2:27 (ok)
{Satori} : 2:46 -> 2:38 (-8)
{Satori} v2 : 2:46 -> 2:38 (-8)
{Sunlight} : 3:57 (ok)
~Absolute Zero~ : 2:18 (ok)
=.The Ocean.= : 2:00 (ok)
==Planet KARMA== : 6:24 (ok)
0 (piano version) : 2:01 (ok)
100 Bar Blackout : 3:42 (ok)
101 Kittens : 3:48 (ok)
11ELEVEN : 2:01 (ok)
12 Bar Bloops : 3:36 -> 3:39 (+3)
13th, Friday : 4:29 (ok)
16bitFruit : 1:41 (ok)
300 This is Sparta EXTENDED Mix : 2:15 -> 2:09 (-6)
4 Chord Touhou : 2:44 (ok)
404th of July : 1:00 (ok)
4F73R M3 (FFR Edit) : 3:09 -> 3:00 (-9)
5 Black Skulls : 2:24 (ok)
5.1.1. (AG Supercool Mix) : 1:45 -> 1:38 (-7)
600 AD in Piano : 3:00 -> 2:56 (-4)
8-Bit Day Dreamer : 1:29 -> 1:25 (-4)
A : 1:46 (ok)
A Beautiful Storm : 2:12 -> 2:15 (+3)
A Christmas Carol : 1:43 (ok)
A Correspondances Illumitees : 1:10 -> 1:14 (+4)
A FLOWER GARDEN : 2:02 -> 1:57 (-5)
A Kidney Stone : 2:09 (ok)
A Quick Death : 2:29 (ok)
A World of Piano : 3:37 (ok)

26 out of 54 have a 3 seconds difference or more. That's nearly 50%.
If there's a faster way a mod/admin can do this (by calculating the number of frames), that would be great.

Might not be alone here, but the newly-added song Colors of the Wind doesn't show up in any songs list on my computer, even when I search it up. I know other people have already played it, so any help explaining why it doesn't like my computer would be awesome. Thanks.
