Role Playing Games
Hi, My favorite types of games are role playing games but I seem to be running out of them latley. . . I was hoping for some advice one what games would be good to get. I also like fighting games and some shooters
The systems I have are PS2 DS Gamecube 360 If you say final fantasy or kingdom hearts I will devote an hour to imagining myself flicking pebbles at your forehead XD |

Skies of Arcadia: Legends - Gamecube. The original SoA for the Dreamcast was also amazing, but they just made it even better on the GC.
It's my absolute favorite. Also, try Grandia II on the Dreamcast. --Guido http://andy.mikee385.com |

Also I'd recommend the Tales series but judging by the OP's Mieu avatar I think that one's already been covered. Also if you're going to try out Star Ocean, general consensus is that SO3 (Star Ocean: Till the End of Time) is the worst game in the series. It's the only one I've played and hell, I liked it, but just throwing that out there. Same thing with Suikoden. General consensus is that Suikoden IV was terrible, but I played Suikoden V and really liked it. Your call. |

Re: Role Playing Games
Suikoden is amazing.
4 would have been a great RPG, just isn't a very good Suikoden. Star Ocean 2 is epic. Breath of Fire 1-4 are amazing. Most of the "great" rpgs were on the playstation/SNES era, though. |

Re: Role Playing Games
If you can find it, Sigma Star Saga combines a walkaround interface with a unique system that combines:
-Experience gathering (no, literally, enemies in shooter mode drop packets of experience you have to gather once you kill them, but enemies you kill in story mode don't; however, you can still take damage and even get killed while on the ground if you're not careful) -Customizable weapons that you have to find the data for (there are three kinds of Gun Data you have to worry about; shot direction, the kind of shot, and what happens on a hit. Over 50 cards of data to find, with thousands of possible combinations!) -A pretty interesting story about an ace pilot turned double agent forced to choose who he's really working for -Challenging boss battles And it's for the Game Boy Advance, so you can stick it into your DS. Good luck, and have fun. I've beaten it in a little over 4 hours. |

Re: Role Playing Games
^this.
In terms of the actual roleplaying, it's the greatest RPG ever made. Ever. The fact that the gameplay happens to be pretty damn fun as a side note is just a bonus.
