The best thing about holidays for this pack is the huge stretches between motels/tourist attractions where you have nothing better to do than churn out files (what? what do YOU do on boring road trips?).
Mischievous Robot 4key is done. 2/4/6/7/11/-. Meltdown 2 4key is half done. 2/4/7. Jenka 1 4key is half done. 2/3/6. Last Battle 4key is part done. 4/7. Jenka 2 and Meltdown 2 are the most complex songs in the soundtrack, so I have a feeling I'm not done with them yet.

Skyfox: Oops, sorry! I stepped Last Cave in another long car trip today. Maybe you'd like to look at mine and tell me if anything is missing, incorrect, should be done a different way or if there should be another chart doing XXX?
Another car trip, another bunch of charts. Today is the Day of Dumps. Last Cave: 3/4/7/-/13/18. Oni is 11 by density that got rated up for minijacks and spurtiness, similarly edit is 17. Edit is a homage to Almost There Edit. I think something should go in the gap between standard and oni, but it's a tricky song to work with, because all the memorable instruments are really straightforward rhythms - the minijacky instrument is the most interesting but by far hardest thing. Quiet got an update: Oni is heavy but with a thick carpet of mines instead of a splattering of them. (I'm thinking of putting holes in the carpet just to be harder to read.) Edit is Sandstorm speed jacks. Run! got an update: Partially because I noticed the quiet trilling I was stepping starts a beat earlier than I thought, partially to alter the second halves of all the charts and make them better rounded in terms of what patterns they provide. In the process light turned into a 6 from a 5. Oppression got an update: Heavy is a 19 footer that is a homage to Gigadelic. Excellent. Balcony got an update: Sprinkled mines over the charts. Still horrifically boring. I have no idea what I can do to make an edit chart for this. Charge got a light chart. 6. Short song, so I'm sure I'll finish it next time I sit down. don't need to cut it. just step anywhere between 1 and 2 full loops like what I've been doing. (I like to step a little of the start again at the end, it feels like an outro if you do that)
also all the songs -I- want to step are dibsed too :monkey: no biggie though. I'll just do them for solo

No charts today, just some ruminations.
First is that I'm tempted to step some songs from Cave Story Remix Project. Almost There and Cave Story have been done and redone for solo by Yesssss and Tsuka respectively, but I could throw on some easier charts. Escape Route is tempting - it's an awesome 6 minute remix of Gestation. Taking Advantage is a 3 minute remix of Labyrinth Fight with pseudo-breakbeats that I think would be fun. Ballrawg is a remix of Balrog Theme with plenty of variation on instruments and melodies - and only 2 minutes. Songs like Mimiga Vibe, Island of Eden and Ball of Ballos are tempting, but damn - 7 minutes in length. Decision has an interesting second half...2 minutes. Maybe with a cut, lol There might be a couple others worth doing, I'd have to listen again. Second is that I made a list of 'tiers' for the songs. Since the singles charts are almost all done by this point, your choices are: 1. Step Ice Fortress :shades: seriously that song is mad awesome 2. Step for solo (or 3/5/7/8 keys) 3. Fix/improve any charts of mine that suck more than they ought to. PLAYTESTING TIME 4. wait and see if anyone who dibsed drops it BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE Today I picked out and made cuts of every song from the Cave Story Remix Project that I thought has potential (excluding Almost There and Cave Story, which already have single and solo charts - I'll organize them being in the pack). I haven't bothered to figure out bpms or offsets.
