Punch-Out!!
forget my passord to the account so, uh, here's a Bitrayal track for you guys haha
(Yeah I am Bitrayal, shouldn't surprise too many, but if you weren't aware, now you know ) https://soundcloud.com/bitrayal/punch-out-bit-sid-rmx I really didn't stray from the source material at all, but rather did a revision of the original track. Hope it's still enjoyed. PS: Not true "chiptune" since this is very post-processed... Lots of reverb, eq and stereo imaging! (which aids the tune a lot imo, but might not be enjoyable for "chiptune purists" out there.) Last edited by Coolboyrulez0; 01-6-2013 at 08:49 AM.. |

Re: Punch-Out!!
This is cool, but it feels a bit experimental. Like, the drums at the end are cool but they don't fit (I run into this sometimes myself) (nice c64 drums btw). The way you've done the melody in a different way from the original is cool, but it's somewhat offputting (and I don't know if this is merely because it's not what I expected to hear or if there's something dissonant in it that shouldn't be). The bassiness is cool, but some of the growliness and high period artifacts of it feels unneeded. So probably an original made in this style would be better
