NHL 2014-15 FFR Thread
So why wasn't this made earlier?
Anyway, Wings fan here, so I've been pretty happy this season. What about all of you? As long as you don't like Crosbitch I should be fine. |

Re: NHL 2014-15 FFR Thread
lmfao that last part of that sentence tho
I've grown up with the Rangers because my father is a die-hard fan, and I personally love their team and players. My favorite team however IS the Penguins, and it's not because of Crosby. It's because of Malkin, whom IMO is better than Crosby. It's not a bad season so far for anyone except the people who have fallen -15 pts against the leading three in any division. Not liking the fact the Islanders came alive this year but I do respect Vorachek a lot because he's a beast. Next time you want to post something like this, don't be baised with a "crosbitch" post, we all know that he can be a bitch at times but nobody wants to hear it over and over again.

Re: NHL 2014-15 FFR Thread
My feel on the NHL is I personally think it's the best sport to watch because it's high-paced and interesting to see. Not to mention clean hits and fights which you want to root for, etc.
I like every and any team in their own way, whether that's based upon a single player on the team or the older players that used to be on the team like Messier. Of course, whoever picks a favorite team rolls with them and their rivalries, like I despise Flyers and Bruins because my favorite teams are the Rangers/Penguins.

Re: NHL 2014-15 FFR Thread
Yeah sorry, I just can't stand people who worship him. I met a few Penguins fans online once and I told them that all Crosby does whine and complain. Needless to say they were not very happy with my comments (This is an understatement).
But I just hate how everyone calls him the face of the franchise and constantly complains. Anyway I found a video to illustrate a bit as to why I don't like him at all. |

Crosby, indeed, is not the face of the franchise. If anything, the ducks would be the face of the franchise 'cause "lol highest point team in NHL currently with like 10 teams in contention with that".

Re: NHL 2014-15 FFR Thread
Also something I do want to mention it is pretty funny how everyone in the thread is in Canada or a northern state. If only people cared in the warmer states then I think people would appreciate it more.
Sidenote: If the Wings are on CBC I'm watching that instead of Fox Sports Detroit. |

Re: NHL 2014-15 FFR Thread
Out of the West Conference, my favorite team is indeed Anaheim. I hated that they choked last year but they are doing incredible this year. I have high hopes for them in the Playoffs.

Re: NHL 2014-15 FFR Thread
I'm hoping Detroit can win it all this year, however my mindset generally never changes: Be happy that they make the playoffs.
As long as they make the playoffs I'm satisfied, but I know they can win the Stanley Cup just because of all the talent on that team. Only problem is Jimmy Howard and Overtime/Shootouts. It is painful to watch him in a shootout. |

Re: NHL 2014-15 FFR Thread
Hates Crosby.
Location: Macomb, MI It all makes sense now... (sorry, had to. I'll be nice now) Quote:
Also, to the dude who said Crosby isn't the face of the franchise: He easily is as face of the franchise refers to just the specific team. Like the Sedins in Vancouver, and Stamkos in Tampa, Crosby is the face of Pittsburgh. EDIT: Be happy if Detroit makes the playoffs? You must've been happy the last 22 years. They've literally made the playoffs every year I've been alive. Last edited by T-Force; 01-29-2015 at 06:13 PM.. |

1999: Dallas wins the Stanley Cup 2000: Dallas makes it to the SCF 2004: Tampa Bay wins the Stanley Cup 2006: Carolina wins the Stanley Cup 2012: Phoenix goes to the Conference Finals Nashville is also one of the current top teams in the West and you can make a strong argument that they're Southern, and Dallas would also be a great team if their goalies didn't suck aside from Lehtonen. Good try though. |
