So I'm messing around a bit with SynPlant, really need to buy this because it's amazing.
Made a bit of a saw pad, although I don't know how I could personally use it. http://www.mediafire.com/?sxmt3ctstl8261m Turning the effect up on this gives it a very noisy, granulated sound. Turning it down gives it more of a sawtooth bass feel, so if you plan on using that, tweak the release accordingly.

"too late Most of the time as lurker suggests I select a preset, tweak some parameters on the plugin such as internal arp, reverb, and obviously fix it's position in the mix; then if necessary I post-filter it with distortion / wet/dry etc. I respect people who have the ability to shape their own sounds (sound designers) but being a musician it seems tedious for me when you can just alter presets to sound as amazing and still retain "your sound". I guess there some kind of purist debate here, but I'd rather not be part of it -- either approach is fine. " DITCH THIS ATTITUDE. Don't you even start, you know this is a dumb argument. Being lazy about something you are passionate about is the path to mediocrity. Do the effort, learn all you can, and then give yourself the opportunity to decide when you use presets and when you shape sound. You call yourself a musician, but you are just some chump pumping out sounds. it is time for you to get serious about your craft.

Sorry its taken me so long to be involved in this thread haha.
http://www.mediafire.com/?y4fsd5l2gh1l647 There are 29 patches (all in massive) that have been labeled and compressed. EnjooOoOoO000yyyy them! DISCLAIMER: I made all of these patches a while ago, so if they're kind of nooby leave me alone! I haven't touched massive in months. EDIT: How many of you have NI's Razor?

Most likely a Dubstep Massive preset; altered, for the bass.
Really wet Drums and slow tempo give it that specific beat. Ask Milla honestly though, he's somewhat akin to what KOAN Sound sounds like. PS: And I do understand that you are trying to prove a point. Quote:
Or artist -- seeing as I see music as a form of expression. When I am happy, sad or whatever emotions flows through me I "compose/produce". No thanks, it's merely a hobby. I don't have the time nor money to invest into all the things which would help me become a better artist. There are people who are more talented, had more experience and have better funding and I have come to terms with that. Not saying I'll ever stop, but my production level will never reach that of most others. Never. While this sounds rather negative and even morbid, don't assume I don't put effort in my music. Ever. I compose when thoughts come to me and sometimes finish songs months... in specific cases even years after first starting the project. I only release what I deem to be good to the public and that's why I only have ~20 songs on my soundcloud while I have over 200 WIPs on my hard drive. Nor do I find some songs ever to be finished, even after rendering some songs, weeks later I re-open the projects to continue the track or to add / remove elements that annoyed me. What I am saying is that to further delve into being an artist I would have to input even larger amounts of time and a good chunk of money, both which I do currently not possess. Only one thing is for certain: I have come a damn long way from arranging loops 4 years ago to making full-length house songs with no "samples" besides vocals. (One might argue the oneshot samples of the kicks / snares are samples but I digress and I don't share my house / dance tracks here anyways so this point might be moot)
