Default Older Times-->Now

ffr is nearing 10 years of age. How old were you when you joined? What were you doing in your life at the time? Why did you join? How long have you been here?

How old are you now? What are you doing in your life now? Why are you still active on this site?

Well I played FFR back in 2002, but didn't actually join until late 2003. So that means I began playing FFR when I was 14 but joined at 15 years of age.

Back in 2003 I was in grade 9 just doing the usual school things. Found out this site from addictinggames.com in computer class. The rest is pretty much history.

Right now I'm a geologist in-training.

I'm still active on this site because I love the community, the songs, and the files on FFR. All of those factors have to mesh together well.

It was less than 1 month before my 14th birthday :] I was "graduating" middle school and I remember everything about how/why I joined and how I got my username.
A Friday afternoon, I endure one of the most torturous things a teenager goes through; I got braces ;.; my friend came over with donuts as comfort food and spent the night because the next day we had to do a German video project together. On Saturday, she told me about FFR and told me to sign up. When trying to think of a name, I had no clue what to use, so I took a line out of our project script and planted it as my username. Hence, Ich liebe Käse, or ichliebekase the lazy way =D it's now been over 5 years :3

I'm 19 years old now and I'm a stay-at-home mom :] I love my daughter and I met my fiancée Frankie (krunkykai22) on here =D I'm still active because hopefully one day I can show my daughter how her mom and dad met. Also, I just like hanging out here. I've made a lot of friendships and it's just a fun place to be for the most part.

Hmm, typed a story. No one will probably truly care xD oh well :]

I came here because my runescape account got hacked and I had no better games to play at that time. My friend recommended FFR to me since my friend knew my passion towards music. He owned me at virtually every game out there including FFR, so I thought to myself, "Maybe I could beat him at this game if I tried..."
And yeah. Been a member for 3 years, only 1 year total of being really active, but nonetheless, an FFR user for a fairly lengthy period.
What I'm doing now? Educating myself for the future.
Why I'm still active? Obviously because my account hasn't been hacked yet LMAO.

I was about 11 or 12 when I first registered to this site. I was still in middle school and I sucked so hard. I just joined because I wanted to be in a tournament mostly. Right now I am 17 and in high school ready to go to college. I am still here because this game is still fun for me.

Because there's too many awesome people still kicking around, and the game provides enjoyment. Especially when you're at the peak of your game.

1. Age 13/14, Freshman in HS.

2. ~Zero~ and I were looking for a place to download songs from StepMania because the ones from StepMania.com were "too hard". Came here, and after months of lurking the database, played the game.

3. "Why I'm still here?" I talk a few people here still, a lot of people I wish I still felt closer too, socially. I also still do things StepMania related. And as of right now, part-time job until I decide to move in with my GF.

P.s. ~Zero~ has an alt on here that got flamed to shit when he first joined. /secret

And awein, answer your own questions as well. I'm curious now seeing as you made the topic.

KK STORY TIME!

The first time I saw any arrow game on a computer screen was Anime USA in 2006. That was my first anime convention ever(NEVER FORGET <3). I played for like, 10 minutes, but I liked it a lot. But this was the time when GH2 came out. I was playing that more than anything else XD A few months later, I wanted to play again, but my mom said I couldnt download any games on the computer haha. So I used google to see if there was a game i could play without downloading anything, and found FFR by SHEER LUCK. Played for a solid week and stopped haha. Then Otakon '07 came along(second anime convention ever. NEVER FORGET <3). I was rooming with a friend of mine that played Stepmania a lot, and he brought a busted computer to the hotel room for it. I remember watching him play songs, and how FCUKING FAST they were lol. He played index, and I was just watching his hands move like O.O wtf lol. He let me play after him, and the FIRST song I played was the Pokemon Japanese Theme(whatever song pack that was lmao). I got a D lol. I was 16 then.

Played for a few months, stopped for a few months, played for a week, stopped again for about 2 years lul. Got back into FFR December last year, and saw that it was back online! Found that out by luck, too lmao.

Now im 20, and will be 21 in January. Idk why im so obsessed with smashing keys, now.

i joined freshman year of high school. I had been playing for a long time before that but not very seriously. I joined because I met some people from my school that played and was like hmm I know that game... been here since Jan 3rd 2007 so over 4.5 years. I was 14, at that time in my life i was doing nothing with my life. Going to school, barely doing any of the work. So when i joined here I had a lot of free time to play. Now I am 19, going to college for pharmacy and currently looking for a job.... again. I'm still here because I didn't get bored with the game till somewhat recently. SM fills the void when I have the time, and lots of people on here play SM, so I still have a niche here. Also, I have some pretty amazing friends on this site. I love them to death.

I was 14 when I first joined. I was just graduating 8th grade. I joined because "omg DDR is the best ^_^" and I've been here for approximately 7 years now.

Now, I'm 21, I'm going to school and working both part time. And why am I still active? ...this community is chill.

I joined when I was 13. I was linked here from some DDR guild on Gaia Online. At the time I was super obsessed with Gaia but I slowly got bored of it and migrated over here to FFR. I was in middle school I guess. 7th grade? I joined cause, well, obviously I liked DDR and I found FFR super addicting. I would even play during school on my laptop. Good fun.

So I've been here for like 6 years already I guess. 7 next spring.

And right now.. I just turned 20, I'm not doing much in life except chillin and trollin you guys. Cause it's fun. But I do plan on not coming back eventually, I guess I'm just bored of this community. It's kinda dead really. And I can't stand the stupidity of some people on the forums. And the people who have emotional problems. It's too pathetic for me to continue reading. Makes me want to kill puppies.

I was 15, I think. I was a high school lame student and I really liked rhythm games, that's why I joined. I was a lurker for a year, but started posting on forums and getting involved with the community only in the last year, but I only became ~~~cOoL aNd cHiLL~~~ with this account.

I am now 19, I have a job and I'm still active on this site for the people, and only the people.

i first played ffr at college when i was 19. I didnt like the game itself but i liked the competitive elements about it, more specifically the overall rankings. Its pretty much what kept me going all that time i guess.

If you're not good with numbers, im 23 now. You guys are lucky u started young, trying to keep up with the youngsters keeps me young. Its like the older u start the slower the learning process is.

When I first joined FFR, I was ~17 or 18 years old when a high school friend IMs me, linking me to FFR and telling me that this game is really addicting. As I was typing up my Physics or AP Chem lab, I thought it was a good idea to take a small break from my schoolwork. As I was playing FFR, it felt really weird for me to play upscroll, so I switched it to downscroll. Eventually, I found out that she was correct. The game is "addicting."

Well, that small break elongated to about 2.7 years where I am currently in college taking 16 credits of classes, being a math teaching assistant, and working for the math department. At the moment, I am trying to reach to my ultimate goal of being in graduate school for a Ph.D. in math from a prestigious university.

Why am I active still? Although I have accomplished most of my personal goals in the game, there are just a few more goals that I have left to accomplish before retiring from the game. In terms of the community, I'd probably stick around just to keep in better touch with my friends on FFR.

I was 12 years old when I joined in November 2006. At the time, I was in 7th grade just going through another boring year of middle school. I came across it by looking for addicting flash games online.

I don't remember EXACTLY how I found it but I guess it was from a random google search and I came across FlashFlashRevolution, and I thought "hmmm maybe it's very similar to DDR". I got hooked on it when I realized that I could "pass" Flight of the Bumblebee.

I have been on this site for 4.86 years today. I'm now 17 years old and turn 18 in July, just looking forward to finishing my last year in high school and hoping to go to Anime North again and visit a few close FFR friends.

Now I'm just here to be an active FFR batch stepfile judge, lurking the forums, profiles, prochat, desperately wanting to talk to people (other than usual FFR and SM chat) because I'm bored as ****.

I started when I was in about 8th grade (so I was 14), didn't actually make an account or anything, just played. After about half a year nearing the start of 9th grade I wanted to get into all them Secret and Purchased songs, so I made an account, and at this time I played only index. During my 10th grade year at some point I made a new account (this one) where I switched to spread.

Started at 15, now 21, off and on near the beginning since I didn't know what was going on half the time.

PS - I'm not a very forum-active member, but I'm on here a lot just ditsin' around.
