Tony Hawk Project 8
I bought this game the day it came out, and I played 1 player story mode for a hour or so, then I got bored. So i tried the Free Skate option which let me skate around the starting area of the game. But after trying one trick that went wrong I noticed that you get a broken bone count plus a hospital bill $amount on the bottom of the screen. That gave me a real fun idea, too see how many bones i could break at once. And doing this was more fun than actually skating, just watching the body go flying through the air and smacking off rocks and trees etc. For those who have this game, try jumping off a roof or something high, dosen't always have to be high either I've found out, and then push all the R1,2 and L1,2 buttons all at once, and sometimes your person will act "dead" and fly around through the air.
I set my record of 14 broken bones with $80,000 hospital bill with one wreck using Bam Margera...of all people to get hurt too. See if anyone can beat that, and putting up a video would be sweet also. Last edited by Kevin_18; 11-12-2006 at 03:33 PM.. |

I got 15 broken bones once with a little over $100,000 in the demo version.

Re: Tony Hawk Project 8
I've been looking forward to this game for a while.
I'm a fairly large fan of the THPS series. Sadly, however, I will not be buying a PS3 just for this game. I hope the PS2 version is as worthy, only with toned down graphics. At the very least, I'm sure it'll be worth the money for it with how much I'll be playing it. ps spoiler kinda: it seems that they finally have Jason Lee as a playable character. That's badass. pps it seems that they removed the create a skater for the PS2 version... can anyone verify?

Re: Tony Hawk Project 8
THP8 was meant for next-gen, so it is obvious they would have to take out a feature we love so we could buy the next-gen version for much more than current-gen. It's how they would make more money.

Damn.
I guess I'll have to make due with Downhill Jam when I get a Wii then.

Re: Tony Hawk Project 8
I'll prolly get THPS8 for PS3 once i finally get one (as in after the price drops and my hateful rage at Sony dies down a bit, considering their past screw ups and autrocities, for example the exploding laptop batteries and sueing Lik Sang out of business for selling japanese PSP's to European consumers). actually found a huge rant on the matter. BTW, on the topic of THPS8, u guys see the CAD comic about it? fairly relevant to this thread actually. http://www.ctrlaltdel-online.com/comic.php?d=20061113
