Dammit
I got a new keyboard. Everything about it is was great. I installed it, mapped out the new keys, and all was going well. At the store, the arrow keys were smooth. I go to FFR, try it out on a song and start playing. I got bored, so I started killing myself with fast, alternating doubles, and I got the beeps. It can't register triples, or very fast doubles. DAMMIT. It was so great. That pisses me off.

Oh, great. Isn't this fucking great? IT'S JUST THE ARROW KEYS that can't register the triples and shit. The arrow keys are the prime set of keys to play on. WTF

Get one of those black Dell ones. Those can handle fast doubles, slow triples, and slow quads.

You can still hit triples and quads without your keyboard supporting them.
I AAed Slam with this technique. You just hit two of the notes, and quickly jump over to the other 1 or two fast. You usually get greats, but its better than missing. |

When I play a stream of arrows coming at above 750bpm or so, I get a million beeps. It just sucks.

German ones reverse the Y and Z keys. And you can do cool stuff on them.

I have a black cool looking Compaq one, and it registers triples and quads fine...the one problem is that the keys are smooth and hard to get used to at first. But once you get used to 'em, you actually play even better because your fingers slide off them easier, and it registers really fast with only about half the depression you need for a microsoft standard keyboard.
