Re: jTWG XL Host Signups
I guess...just vote for one (and everyone else too) so we can get a player thread opened.

Re: jTWG XL Host Signups
Seriously, edu, I'd like to hear how you would have TWG run. All this talk about how you know a lot more than us, and how we are messing up everything...what would be your ideal way to manage things? What made TWG so good and functional before all of us dunderheads came along?

Re: jTWG XL Host Signups
Postpone it. No one is playing. No one knows how to play. Wait till you get a large enough base of some people who know how to play and some who have no idea as to what the hell they are doing. They should catch on in a couple of games.

Re: jTWG XL Host Signups
My plan: Suspend jTWG until January 14th. Then start another interest thread. If enough people really want to play and/or really support jTWG, then we'll start it again.

Re: jTWG XL Host Signups
I'd say we just postpone it untill people enough people want it. Theres no point in creating interest threads. When the signups roll around for the next TWG, We'll be able to tell if there's enough interest from that thread to start jTWG again.
That is, If Rzr ever shows up to end the current night.

and I thought the current TWG would end rather quickly after what happened recently. I guess not, and I suppose I'll be playing Manti's game.. if rzr decides to finish his.

Oh gawd lol. I gotta tell you guys: I love hosting. But items are too complicated ad conversions. Items not so much. I really hope to host again, probably after manti, but if so i told FJ about my idea and I think it's not so bad. This time no god damn conversions.

Re: jTWG XL Host Signups
Hey guys, you have like 7 jtwg players now. And I heard a bunch of people are going to be coming back to play this next twg. So I am thinking there may be enough people to play the next jtwg. Assuming that Manti's game will be a basic one, not a big one. So I am thinking jtwg will still be on. So everyone who played the last jtwg should keep checking back, because I am pretty sure there will be another one.

I'm freaking pissed, an expert division with some of the least competent players we've seen since I joined. Either way what's going on with this? I'll go for host or player right now...any takers?

Seriously, you have 7 players that aren't even guaranteed to play. Don't start it up. Wait like another month rofl.

Re: jTWG XL Host Signups
Ghey, This TWG sounded far to complicated for my tastes and no simple jtwg with which to entertain myself.

Re: jTWG XL Host Signups
I thought jTWG was also created to introduce people into TWG. So if I can't join a jTWG, I'll have to sign up for a TWG. You only need to games in jTWG, for TWG right? if so i'm set

I disagree with edu's thoughts on completely removing jTWG. Without it, the normal TWG would be screwed over (as seen in Manti's game) and there wouldn't be games that can sharpen new players' skills. I suggest in reforming TWG board: making this area even more public, not just a Sub-forum from "Game" threads. To compensate, assign Moderator positions to those that frequent this board. Shashakiro has nearly disappeared from FFR, and Manti and can't do it alone. Also, postponing the next jTWG at least a month would be a great idea. Or if certain circumstances are met (enough players, worthy host, easy game, etc.), then start it if the majority rules in favor. Edited for grammar errors.

Re: jTWG XL Host Signups
making the TWG forum public is what ruined it in the first place, and plenty of vets agree 100% with me on this. making it fully public would only make it worse.

Re: jTWG XL Host Signups
Also, it was hard enough to get Manti to where he is.
TWG doesn't have that much power or influence. |
