Hmmmmm, I like you Renevatia. You make art.

For more depth, since the angle of the view seems to be radial, make a falloff radial shadow/reflection on the water, because there isn't a reflection at all at this point, highlight point will be directly below the sunlight, have it fade out from there, to a deeper hue.

ps your clouds rock.

Look at a real sun scene, add some white highlights to caustic points on the water. Might be hard to pull off but, then again it's just a test, see what you can work up!

ya i checked some of those,

really its not hard to mimic completely the ocean wave effect..from photos
but all the sources had really really boring looking water

i was drawing for a clear feeling ..like those..paradise places with clear turquoise water that shines the crap out of your face..and feels really refreshing to look at.

basically..I don't like real life looking stuff, want to surpass it, making things better than it can look, thats why people draw fantasy right?
so..sources can only take me so far :/

I realllly don't like the leg on the mech, far too skinny.

Start refining the sketch a bit, use lots of linear shading.

Also, are you using a tablet?

I really love the 2nd version of the ocean--it's got way more depth in the water, and it really shows it's 2 different views, when it's calm, and when it's rough and stormy.

P.S. Lens flare really does suck.
