Re: Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire
Fuck, Mega Diancie looks cooler than Sceptile and Swampert's megas.
Well, idk, Sceptile's cool. Swampert I'll warm up to later. Diancie ain't fab like Gardevoir tho. |

Mega Swampert with swift swim
Depends on what stats get boosted and how much, but I think even with the weather nerf OU better prepare their anuses. |

Re: Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire
We're full up on writers at the moment, but the project leader has been jonesing for someone that can record actual gameplay. PM me if you're up for that.
Also, if you wanna throw some shit into the beta, feel free to do that, it's all gonna get wiped anyway when the time comes to work on the real thing. So I'm getting a head start on that.

Re: Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire
LMAO
yeah mega swampert will be banned the instant we have base stats from what I've seen his attack increases, so if his speed stays the same he'll be at fucen 120 in rain |

Mega Venusaur is still able to not be hit super effectively by any of Swampert's moves and take it out with one Giga Drain, for example. The more popular Mega Charizard Y can come in, turn rain into sun, then massively overkill with a Solarbeam. Rotom-W resists Waterfall and Ice Punch, is immune to Earthquake, and can fire off a Will-o-Wisp to gimp it. Some current strong pokes would be able to handle Swampert fairly well. Speed calcs: If it stays a base 60 (assuming Adamant nature and 252 Speed EVs) it will hit a speed of 438 in rain, the equivalent of a +Speed nature base 150 pokemon. I'm pretty sure it'll get like +10 in speed or something, running 252 Spe and Adamant again will give it a speed of 478 in rain, enough to outspeed scarfed +Speed nature base 95 pokemon. |

Re: Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire
given the stat changes for the kanto starters i think mega swampert getting 160 (+50) attack is pretty likely, with the rest going into defs
that thing isn't getting any faster (none of the kanto starters did) i doubt that they're going to give sceptile-m more physical stats since he's the special-oriented starter of the group, but i could see the dragon pulse tutor getting revived just for it

Re: Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire
Mega Sceptile could potentially be a fast threat, if it gets Dragon Pulse, we have that alongside Giga Drain/Energy Ball and HP Fire for coverage, probably using Substitute with the former grass move. They may also splash on 20 Atk or so, like they do with other megas that are oriented towards one attacking side. Sceptile has also been known to occasionally run mix sets. (Kangaskhan got +20 SpA for example)
Swampert will probably be given colossal attack but I'll go ahead and say that it won't have too much of an impact. Will definitely be fun to use. |

Mega Sableye's ability has been revealed: It's Magic Bounce. The page also says its Defense and SpA go up.

Re: Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire
Sounds kinda lame tbh.
But I guess it's better than having to deal with another bulky Prankster. |
