protip: if you're in canada and going into grade 9 or 10, your marks don't mean crap, as long as you pass. (unless you plan on applying to schools in the states) so don't stress if you have a bad teacher or something. have fun

Other stuff for you Canadians, there's none of these SAT's and what not, just plain old, graduate, and you go to college depending on your 11th and 12th grade notes (the ones that the college require for that certain class)

I start my sophomore year at Texas Tech on the 27th. Tuesdays and Thursdays are loaded 8 am to 3 pm. However, I only have one class on Fridays, so leaving early for the weekend is a LOT easier than last year

I start my senior year in Weston High School on Sept. 4th. (I've despised my highschool in particular a lot more than in other areas. Can't stand how so many students would do anything for a damn grade, I'm not talking about learning, I'm talking about cheating, and finding holes in the system. I moved to the Boston area from Iowa and I gotta say I like the midwest a lot more.)

well I guess the one good thing about my school is that ffr is not blocked because I'm the only one who freaking plays it lol.

class starts september 8th here, and on that specific day i don't go in until 5 pm and the class is only 1 hour \m/

That sucks for those who start this week. My school usually starts around the 28th but this year they're pushing it back to Sep. 2nd or something like that.

only one more year of this ****. god i hate high school

and on another note, I now wish I lived in canada

A percent is a percent, we leave it at that.

And the process to get into post-secondary is so much more laid back because there's not as much competition in Canada to get into a "top" Canadian school because the population is so little compared to the US. So, less applicants = less selective. There ARE competitive programs though that do require essays and forms that you have to fill out with EC information and such. I also know of a few programs that require 95% entrance averages.

With that being said the process is a lot less stressful, but you Americans have the opportunity of getting into world-renowned schools. Canadian universities are not comparable to top US schools in terms of prestige, and to get into one as a Canadian student not only do you have to have high marks all throughout high school and achieve excellent SAT scores, (for Harvard, Yale etc.) you need to A) be a world-class athlete or B) have international recognition in an academic competition.

oh school's also a lot cheaper in Canada so whatever :P

School starts on September 22nd for me -- a ****ing Tuesday for some reason.

It's my senior year of college. As such, I'm only taking three classes:

ECON 222 - Macroeconomics
AERO 452 - Spaceflight Dynamics II
AERO 401 (with lab) - Propulsion Systems (rocket science)
