Re: wimbledon
I watched a couple of games in the last set.
Federer should retire soon. Fix your hole there.

Re: wimbledon
Fixed. Yeah I believe he should too. He is playing just horrible tennis for being Roger Federer.

Re: wimbledon
Ya, winning 11 grand slams since 2003 and still being #1 since 2004 at the age of 26 is totally a reason for retiring soon.
Are you guys retards? He's playing Nadal, a guy who is seriously hard to play against recently (he has a 21 winning streak coming into this final). Federer is playing amazing tennis and to get back to two sets all was an incredible achievement. Both guys deserve to win it and it's all fair game tomorrow. |

Re: wimbledon
Oh, I actually missed the end of it. I thought they were done until tomorrow not just rain delayed.
****. Ohwell. Shame that Federer lost. Borg all over again really. EDIT: He got to the final of both the French Open and Wimbledon. Again only getting beaten by Nadal both times. Ya, still doesn't need to quit yet. |

Re: wimbledon
This year has been shameful for him. One more year like this he is going to retire.

Re: wimbledon
Based on your standards 90% of tennis players should quit tennis for not being good enough.

Re: wimbledon
You're not getting my point. Roger Federer is just not winning anymore, the peak of his career is over. I am not saying he quits, I am saying he retires there is a difference here.

Re: wimbledon
I am getting your point. He doesn't win some masters titles for a single year and suddenly he's washed up.
It's not like great players have ever had a bad year. Oh wait. Pete Sampras didn't win anything in 1996 yet he then won 2 grand slams in 1997. Agassi won nothing from 1996-1998 then won 2 grand slams in 1999. etc. Honestly, Federer has no reason to retire. He's still playing amazing tennis. You just seem so quick to suddenly put someone out of the running when they are still playing great. Getting to finals isn't an easy thing to do. |

Re: wimbledon
I thought you were talking about only Grand Slams. Also, ya, my memory isn't perfect.
I still stand by my point. Federer is not out of it yet. He's still one of the best players in tennis and I can see him winning more titles. |

Re: wimbledon
He's got another 3-4 years. >_> He definitely won't quit until he has smashed Sampras's record by at least 4 Slams.
