Current bugs [Please read]

I already know that Synthlight is aware of most of the important bugs on the website since the break down, but I thought I'd post the bugs I found for everyone to know that its not just them experiencing this problem and that with a little patience, the website will be normal again.

FFR The Game (this also applies to Spin it up) :
- You can be logged in, and the game will load fairly quick and will not recognize your login but will recognize you as anonymous.
- When you select to play a song the songs will load instantly and will not play sound or show the steps. It stays at a constant black screen until you purposely fail.
- Scoring system is not working and this includes credits (Synthlight is aware)

(You can fix the game loading problems by clearing your cache and restarting your browser, or repeat clearing your cache with a different browser and trying again)

FFR The Website
- The website itself loads fairly quick but can lag out sometimes
- When you try to visit the forums it will take more than 10 seconds to load the page, this only applies to the forums. Though, when you post a post it will post instantly.
- Profiles of course are broken so that means the default vBulletin profiles will not work as I am sure the profiles are configured to work with the FFR profiles we had. (Synthlight is aware)
- Video chat of course is not working (Synthlight is aware)
- There are problems occurring with the Simfile DB (Synthlight is aware)
- FFR radio is not working



I'm not posting these problems to rush anyone as I know the site has just recovered a major down time but I'm only posting to keep other users coming aware of the situations and to let them know they are not the only ones experiencing this and that it'll be fixed come time. Tell me if I missed any other bugs.

See the changelog sticky for updates. We're working on profiles and scores not storing first. We are also fixing a bunch of small errors causing random pages not to work along the way.

Can you help me replicate this:
- What browser were you using when this happened
- Did you recently clear your cache?
- Can I have a prtscrn of FFR the game if this happens again as well as a timestamp so I can check logs for any login failures

There are problems occurring with the Simfile DB (Synthlight is aware)
Understatement?... Simfile DB isn't working what so ever. No file is downloadable, always says file not found. This is what i'd like to see fixed.
Tried for a couple of weeks to backup my broken laptop with loads of good songs from the db. But no succes was achieved since the harddrive is just too badly damaged.
Now my sister told me ffr was back i was hoping to finally get to play some of those files.
Ffr is back, now lets get it as glorious as it was.

We're aware of the issue, we're working on it. After we get profiles and the game itself back up and humming along perfectly, we're going to fix the simfiles/video databases as well as restore the chat servers.

Be Patient, it'll all be back on line soon.

There's this one issue with profile stuff, like when you change things, an apostrophe will register a backslash with it. Is that known? Am I being clear? lol

Yes, I am aware of the issue with ', ", and | not being escaped properly.

Oh, might as well post here:

Those of you who are having trouble using your standalone with FFR, a temporary solution is to turn off IE's "protected mode". Go into Internet Options, then Security, and uncheck the box enabling Protected Mode. Close IE, then go back to FFR and you should have to log-in again. Make sure you click the check box that says "Remember Me". Then load your standalone - it should work just fine. If IE is your default browser, make sure to re-enable Protected Mode once you're done playing.

Thanks for the info, I looked up protected mode now. It looks like disabling the standalone is a working-as-inteded feature of protected mode

Also I should note that if you play with this url

it works but if you forget the www. part it won't work for some reason.

Aperson, the login anonymous problem has seem to disappear for me, but my friend also experienced the problem but after clearing his cache it seemed to work. It only occurs with Google Chrome. Also, my songs will load with Firefox and Internet Explorer but will not load with Chrome, it will stay at a constant black screen in gameplay.

Also, thanks for the fixes and updates, we all appreciate it!!
