Default Resources on Personal Finance

I was wondering if anyone here knew of some good resources for personal financial management. I want to know more about taxes, mortgage, investments, etc. rather than just the basics (examples of basics are things like tax brackets, what is a credit score, interest).

Currently I do have reflections on how I spend and save my funds, what is put into retirement, and other stuff -- although there are many things I still don't know about.

This is actually quite an interesting topic that I'd like to learn about as well. Most of the knowledge that I have on long term financial management is for people whom live in America and that is mostly because a lot of it nowadays is both tied to politics and a financial agenda lately that is seeing volatile fluctuations in major markets.

And well, I'm from Canada, so most if not all of that doesn't apply to me 100%.

Do you have a bank? A lot of banks have online resources that can at least serve as primers for financial topics.

I used to work for a nonprofit that taught about homeownership in lower SES communities, and they would have local seminars that told people how to prepare for purchasing homes, mortgaging, etc. Maybe there are some of those nearby where you live. Most of their resources came directly from HUD. Granted most of it was America-centric but might still be useful in a more abstract sense.
