Do it. It's the best novel I've ever read. Everyone on the Amazon book review thing needs to go choke.

That dry book is among the best books ever written.

Fine. Read High Fidelity by Nick Hornby. It was made into a great movie but the book was way better. Pretty easy and very enjoyable read.

I mean, it kind of seemed like you sorted the "House of Leaves" reviews so that all the negatives would come up first. Because it has far more 5* than 1* ratings.

If you like sci-fi, I would highly suggest you read "Ender's Game."

I don't remember how many pages it has, but it's definitely more than 300.

I actually only linked to the reviews that had one star because bluguerrilla said that "everyone" recommends House of Leaves.

Yeah screw you, too bad you're stripping yourself of Vladimir ****ing Nabokov. Lolita is the exact opposite of dry: it plays with words eloquently and frolics into the unorthodox masterfully. Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky is also pretty cool. Both are definitely high up in my recommendations.

Picture of Dorian Gray, perhaps? I really do like that book.

Well I never read that. I just know that Crime and Punishment is great.

It doesn't eulogize pedophilia.

I took a class on it, I know what it's about, lol. But for the same reason Nabokov is lampooning the reader, I must show caution when suggesting that book.

Impress me, FFR.
Stranger in a Strange Land.
It's science fiction, and has always been my favorite book.

Breaking news oshi--

Number one reason why you should read (and enjoy) Lolita or Crime and Punishment:

http://freakonomics.blogs.nytimes.co...ave-in-common/

This is the greatest thing to happen to me ever. My two favorite fiction books (and one of my favorite nonfiction books) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

I have good taste.

(Atlas Shrugged is supposedly pretty cool too, but I've never even touched it.)
