Re: The FFR Trading Card Game
song's too long to snag a run without any noticeable frame staggering that FFR is oh so famous for, though this would be quadbait on my old setup
quality edit: yeah can't really improve that on here, held quad to halfway until it got super choppy and dumped like 15p in a span of 70 arrows Last edited by One Winged Angel; 04-7-2017 at 01:40 AM.. |

Re: The FFR Trading Card Game
This song is kinda fun (for a Lvl. 32 like me), although reaching Tiers 2 and 3 is impossible for me. I think I'll work on getting a higher equivalency instead of an Amazing Attack...Standard Pack, please.

Re: The FFR Trading Card Game
rushy I'm nowhere near convinced you aren't capable of at least DDP'ing brightone
you've fucked around with your judge offset? a couple tenths (sometimes hundredths) up or down makes an absurd difference edit: I looked at some of your R3 replays while moving the judge offset around (can only do full frame increments on replays) and noticed that of your non-amazings, you hit earlier anywhere between 3 to 8 times as much compared to late hits the judge offsets change between your replays but I think you've yet to find your sweet spot...I'd shift the judge offset earlier by maybe three tenths of a frame or so while continuing to hit where you naturally do and see if that produces any noticeable improvement, I feel like it should Last edited by One Winged Angel; 04-7-2017 at 08:17 PM.. |

By the way, In open to suggestions on challenge ideas - I'll credit whomever had the idea if I used anyone's suggestions.
I'd prefer ideas come through PMs though, not publically posted in the thread. |

Re: The FFR Trading Card Game
At least I get a new AAA out of this. 600 Amazings may be a little bit beyond what I can do, though. I'll hold off on selecting a pack for now and see what happens during the rest of the weekend.
OWA, get that quad to inspire me please. :P *** Last edited by Precarious; 04-8-2017 at 07:47 PM.. |

Re: The FFR Trading Card Game

Re: The FFR Trading Card Game
Are you still updating the lucky cards weekly or is that not gonna be a thing anymore?

Re: The FFR Trading Card Game
@Precarious, if Brightone converted at a clean 150bpm I might've been assed to try for it, but there's sections of the chart which force you to hit 16ths a frame earlier given the way that charts convert to 30fps on FFR
I would've taken some screenshots to show you some of those sections in Brightone but apparently this laptop doesn't have a pause break key and none of the function hotkey shortcuts work either so w.e Basically to quad charts in FFR with bpms that do not convert cleanly, it's not just a matter of being a human metronome, you need to be mindful of where the shorter/longer frame gaps occur and adjust your keytaps for those parts accordingly All that compounded by the fact that I (and probably most other players) have yet to play on a setup that doesn't experience some sort of noticeable frame staggering at some point during any chart longer than a minute makes it nearly impossible to secure a quad, or at the very least will require an absurd amount of trials rendering it significantly more effort than its worth. The laptop I used to play on previously, which ran Windows 8, was a lot more consistent in producing runs with minimal frame staggering (which led to some pretty neat accuracy scores on there), but Windows 10 (the OS I'm playing on now) rarely produces similar runs. Re: The FFR Trading Card Game
Don't think I'm going to get to 600, so I'll do a Silver Pack for my weekend pack, and a Standard Plus pack for my weekly pack.
