Re: Official Tier Point System Thread
what the "line" should be is say we do have multiple tier lists and if you get say 90% done with that tier, you will unlock an achievement token. If it's for the first tier which say is levels 6-7, the token you will unlock will be a 6.5 level and you will need an appropriate req to "unlock" the next tier and so on for the rest of them.

Re: Official Tier Point System Thread
That's pretty simple, really. If you were to make it, for example, that once you acheive 25% of the next tiers points. T0 would simply be achieved once you got 25%+ of the T0 points. Not sure what you mean by needing a T-1
T4 - >25% T4 points, once you acheive >25% of T3 points, you move up, etc etc.

Re: Official Tier Point System Thread
So you're saying that you only need 25% of a tier level's points to graduate from it? o.O

Re: Official Tier Point System Thread
I believe he means to graduate into that tier.
So untill you have 25% of tier 3 complete your qualified as tier 4 still.

Re: Official Tier Point System Thread
Oh so you're saying that 25% completion of T0's points would automatically graduate you from T1 instead of getting 80% of T1?

Re: Official Tier Point System Thread
Well hypothetically, you could have 90% of T3 points, but only 20% of T2 points, would that mean being shoved into a tier bracket that you weren't suited for?
It would depend on how the point systems were overlapped I suppose, but I fail to see the point in only being able to attain 80% of a tier. Come people will hit their peak, and be unable to graduate to the next level, but would happily be able to complete >90% of their current tier.

Re: Official Tier Point System Thread
I'm so confused why 4 Chord is the only one with 10/10 tier points. Need a mass TP update please. Shut down the site for the time needed and bring up the site fresh and new.

Re: Official Tier Point System Thread
In a 5 tier system, 90%/20% probably won't happen. If it did and you do end up getting 'shoved into a tier bracket that you're not suited for', there's a problem with the system not overlapping enough or the user hasn't played the songs required to get TPs in the next tier yet. It wouldn't be the first time there has been a huge skill gap in FFR though lol.

Re: Official Tier Point System Thread
Well, we need to determine basic things like these.
[Point System] Point System Level 1 - 8 Point System Level 2 - 9 Point System Level 3 - 10 (excluding P4Uv2) Point System Level 4 - 11 (excluding Marisa) Point System Level 5 - 12-13 (excluding CP, P4Uv1, vrofl) or Point System Level 1 - 8-9 Point System Level 2 - 10-11 (excluding P4Uv2, Marisa) Point System Level 3 - 12-13 (excluding CP, P4Uv1, vrofl) More point systems will make the whole system more accurate, but it will be harder to keep/update for us, and require more server resources. [Easier songs (7 or lower)] By adding lower level songs to the system, novice players can enjoy this system more, probably. But considering these songs are easy to AAA when they get experienced a bit, it's somewhat questionable that adding these songs is worth our effort/resources. [Req points] Now maximum 99pt reqs are available. For example, AAA on mid-FGO can be like 20 points? Also, the point req in each system should be compatible in terms of difficulty of achievement (5pt reqs on Level 1 system should be as difficult as 5pt reqs on Level 3 system). [# of req songs for each system] In the old system it was like 100, but by making multiple point system we don't need that many songs for a system. probably around 50? |

^^
That. Personally, rethinking about everything, I like rushy's idea the best with Jimerax's mixed within that. However, I will say that adding lower level songs whether the community gets better or not shouldn't matter... |

Re: Official Tier Point System Thread
I personally dont think we really need a system below 8's.
If you play for a while getting up to 8's isnt that hard. That's just a little above 1/2 of the max difficulty. In response to the 3 level or 5 level point system. it really comes down to how much people want to code it. the 5 levels will def help show people just how good someone is. and it will give them more to work towards. And if we were to put the 5 levels into place what if we just have all 5 bars on someones profile, but there are options to hide them individually, and not just as a whole block of your profile.

Re: Official Tier Point System Thread
I'd agree with the 7 or 8 at the lowest.
I can see the TP bar being like 1500 points now total hahah Really glad to see this all advancing, keep up the good work guys!

Re: Official Tier Point System Thread
I think 6 or 7 is a good starting point so we don't have to deal with the 1s and 2s that any random guy off the street could AAA and synth files which nobody wants to deal with.

Re: Official Tier Point System Thread
I think that'd be the main reason why no one would want anything below a 6. Especially if SSSG had tier points ;.; it better be classified with the other FGOs.
