Re: The ITG Accomplishments Thread
I never try for hands
That's why I have 97 on twilight and queen of light =\ And in my head I thought gj on quasar, but didn't say it, heh =P And yeah I know I could actually do better on satellite, it was first time I ever padded it like I said. And it was also 1st round so I wasn't completely warmed up, nor was I sure how much energy to put into the song so I didn't try my hardest.

Re: The ITG Accomplishments Thread
I played some no-bar today. My best scores were a 95.00 on Deli hard (4 greats), a 94.74 on Pandy Medium (19 greats lol), and a 94.80 of Euphoria hard (9 greats), all FCs. SDGing a 9 is really good for me no-bar.
I'm sure I'll pop out some nice scores next time I play with bar, because I usually improve after playing no-bar. I also have a technique question. What are you supposed to do when there's a single freeze arrow and then a jump during that freeze arrow? Like: <___ H___ H___ H_^> H___ H___ Are you supposed to hit one arrow with your foot and then the other with your hand, use your foot to hold and then hit the other 2 with your hands, or hold the hold with your hand and hit the jump with your feet? I realize it'd be easiest to just cheat the hands and use only your feet, but I'm not fast enough to do that consistently.

Re: The ITG Accomplishments Thread
Put your foot on the freeze, and hit the jump with your hands. Or cheat the hands, I realize you said you're not fast enough for that yet, but get faster!

lol I'm trying I'm trying
I tried to cheat the hands at the end of Bang when I got the chance to play it, and I ended up dropping the hold every time lol

Re: The ITG Accomplishments Thread
Are you playing with your heels and your toes? Because that makes you move a hell of a lot faster. If you had to do that freeze jump example, I'd hold the freeze with my left heel, and then quickly hit the jump with my toes, and then quickly come back and reget the hold with my heel. If you play strictly toes or strictly heels, you've got to move a much farther distance =P

Re: The ITG Accomplishments Thread
I try to use heel-toe, but I often end up reverting back to using only my left toe but still right heel and toe. I've been getting better at that by I revert back to my old habits quite often. Usually when I get in a situation where it would be easier to cheat the hands I'm tired and not moving to my full potential anyways.
My speed's getting improving but still not quite good enough for cheating hands, I think I might try playing Queen of Light with no hands or something like that to practice using only feet. Or maybe something like Dawn.

Re: The ITG Accomplishments Thread
Played a bit today.
First I'll post the damnit scores: great/mine were pad, not recalcing apparently I got 2 in the first set of jumps... thought I had 1 =( K, now actual records... From 15 From 8 (quad isn't unrealistic) From 97%, gg crossing back over from 98.3, should play this more often from 94.5, can def improve From a lower 96. Wouldn't have cb'd if I decided to doublestep instead of trying something different and attempting to crossover... Note to self, NEVER CROSS OVER From 98.5, ****ing mine x.x And yes, I realize my scores on harder stuff sucks, no need to point it out.

Very nice scores, Anuj.
How is 2 greats a three star, and no greats a two star? Isn't a star like an A in ddr?

Re: The ITG Accomplishments Thread
You said this like 5 times already, I get the point =P
And rel89, it works in terms of %'age instead of anything. 99% is a tristar, 98% is a doublestar, 100% is a quadstar, and so on. Well, I tried playing again today, I pulled an all nighter yesterday studying, so I was suprised I could even FA stuff... Stamina on the other hand? Nope. Card reader not working: 99.89 Solina [H] 99.79 Xuxa [H] 99.89 No Princess [E] (2 excellents) 99.44 High [E] <ouch @ 11, got 5 before I even had a gold combo XD> Dumb excellents 4srs, can quad

Re: The ITG Accomplishments Thread
I think 12 was my old best, had to sacrifice fantastics to combo the jumps, poor Tono:
Here ya go Nuc, you were wondering: And FYI, 4x hallway would've been way worse than 4x distant, because it would've seemed a lot slower. I also played 2 11 sets, and a 12 set. Wasn't as tough as I thought... Trying to complete Joel's gs challenge to 30 12 sets, and 50 11 sets in 30 days o.O

Re: The ITG Accomplishments Thread
Heh, it was just too fast. But I still FA distant a lot better than hallway. I'd be suprised if I could tristar anything decent on hallway \=

Re: The ITG Accomplishments Thread
Overhead FTW ;p
Nice scores everyone. Played more no-bar today (rofl more fun then that bar **** ;p). My best runs were a mid 97 on Bend Your Mind hard (might've even beat my record with bar, 'cause I greatstream the spins bar or not lol) and a 95.9 on Incognito Ex. My no-bar endurance is getting a lot better; I was doing 10s pretty easily, I'll probably go for some 11s soon. I'd also like to state that Zodiac hard is the most fun 1x no-bar chart ever, the crossovers and turns are awesome and the mine dodges make the chart flow even better

Re: The ITG Accomplishments Thread
Yeah, overhead is good. But on songs where I need 4.5x, I've found that 5x distant feels about the same.
Today was interesting. Played 2 warmup sets, an eleven set, a twelve set, and another eleven set. Within an hour, was pretty tiring =\ Record for excellents... Can bring this down under 3 EASILY, I dunno why I ever had trouble with this song to begin with o.O I've gotten 8 and 5 pad errors, so I guess I'm glad I didn't recalc it. From 99.38 or something. I got 3 excellents outside of parts with mines, so I guess I gotta get better at mines =P Okay, I even had a blue combo this run... And I only had 1 great and 1 excellent in the first stream. Why? I did the crossover. 2nd stream? Notsomuch, gg excellents. Time to figure out the crossovers in the 2nd stream, and I'll tristar (and even SDE actually) it XD Not a record. Tried doing the crossovers for once, and turned down my speedmod... Yielded some interesting results. 8 misses were because I missed the arrow (but properly crossed over), and 2 were because I didn't recognize the crossover. 96 coming next time I play, and 98 coming soon. This however, was a record. Was *kinda* tired from playing 2 11's already in the same set, could've done a little bit better, but I don't care because I can just replay it tomorrow =P Interesting great count. * coming soon o.O Not gonna post the rest of the songs in my sets, because I dunno.

Re: The ITG Accomplishments Thread
I've never played it for my hands, haha, but I got a couple records yesterday with my feet. I don't remember the %'s though.
Double star on Delirium Expert. S- on Xuxa Expert (could improve) One of my best scores yesterday was Vertex Expert pass on 2.5x speed. Hard to read the end, too fast. I usually go 1.5x, haha. |

Re: The ITG Accomplishments Thread
Uh.... You got 98 on Delirium, and like 93 on Xuxa? Does that make any sense at all? o.O
