Arch0wl's Thread of Anti-Grinchery
The holiday spirit has gotten to me and I want to do something nice for people. You may be saying, "why don't you volunteer for community service?" Because I'm already going to do that, just not at the moment.
So I'm going to make simfiles to songs of your choosing and (try) to get them on FFR. Here's what you do: 1. Go to this thread: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...d.php?t=115492 2. Pick a musician with a pink (edit: or blue!) name. 3. Give me the download link to the song you want me to step. 4. Specify how you'd like the file to be made. (Hard? Easy? Specify difficulty ranges please, like "around 8-10 difficulty level", "fairly easy b/c I can only do 5s" or "FGO plz". Give me something to work with. Also, Index? Spread? What style do you play with? I need to know so that I know you'll like it if I make it.) I can't guarantee I will have the time to step every song posted, but I will step some. Re: Arch0wl's Thread of Anti-Grinchery
OMFG YES.
Try your best with this... I made it and I REALLY want to be a music producer. Try to make it fairly hard. Direct Download: http://soundcloud.com/customstuff/wh...ou-v2/download (btw forget the "v2" part. Just make it "When I'm With You") Thanks! Edit: I can alter any part of it that you want to help! Edit2: Difficulty 10-12. Any patterns, spread prefered.

Re: Arch0wl's Thread of Anti-Grinchery
DJ Aligator: http://www.djaligator.com
song: The Whistle Song link: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=PWUFEPFZ note: this isn't the ddr cut note: song is a bit repetitive and can be cut I'm sure many people will be familiar with this song. The full version sounds better than the DDR version anyhow. difficulty: this one will probably go for an 8-9 in difficulty. A lot of people should enjoy this. I don't have any specifics on how it should be stepped. Whatever blows your whistle! Last edited by bmah; 12-22-2010 at 06:32 PM.. |

Re: Arch0wl's Thread of Anti-Grinchery
customstuff and bmah -- spread or index? or somewhere in-between? and by "fairly hard", do you mean 9-11 range? or 12+? (the difficulty question applies to bmah too - what difficulty level?)

I got the permission from him a long while ago, although he isn't in the list, and he has no songs in-game. You can step it however you feel fit. I think you'll enjoy the song a lot. I believe it would be best as a 7-10, because some parts have the chance to be hard. There's also a story to go with it, which is on the song page.

Re: Arch0wl's Thread of Anti-Grinchery
@bmah: I'm actually relatively good at cutting songs, but thanks for the offer! I appreciate it.
Speaking of which customstuff, I like your song a lot, but I can probably get it out faster if you cut it down to 2:30 or less. (If you want me to do this, let me know, but it's your song so I figured you'd want to do it yourself.) If you still want me to step the whole thing let me know, just know that 1 minute of song (especially if it's hard) takes around 1-2 hours to step so with a 4-minute file and other people making suggestions it might be two weeks or more (lol, long shipping times) until I'm done with it. On the other hand, I may finish it sooner--but I'm just telling you so that you know what to expect. All right guys, I'm going to go with some friends to try the Four Horsemen challenge. I'll answer more questions later. |

Re: Arch0wl's Thread of Anti-Grinchery
Alright, I'll cut it down for you some then. If you need anything else cut afterwards just let me know. I'll try my best if it means I get a song in FFR! Thanks again

Re: Arch0wl's Thread of Anti-Grinchery
I think we might need another Pokemon song. Luckily, I got a permission from a DJ awhile back (Though it's not in the thread you linked.)
Permission thread Song (There's a new link): Here I guess it could be with (jump)streams and burst, whatever you see fit. As for difficulty somewhere in the 10/11 range, maybe 12 is you see fit.

Re: Arch0wl's Thread of Anti-Grinchery
Edited the song. I don't like it as much as the full, but I don't care really if it got in I think it's about 3 minutes now. I'll edit this post with the download link.

I:gor - Samurai
We do have blanket permission from him. My idea is a spread file, 10-11 (FFR rating). Good luck, Mr. Arch. |

Sweet. Please do 'Code 64 - Deviant'. I prefer 7-10 difficulty and play spread.

This would probably be the easiest one to step in my opinion. difficulty can be 5-10, I play spread. All the songs on the profile are made by me, so you can choose a different one if you want too.
