Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #6
The old version is staying on the DF engine, so why be nice and make the harder version for pansies?

Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #6
Lol I'm mostly joking. But I seriously liked the runningman a lot more.
But I like the rest of it <3 It's a lot less awkward than the first one. |

Personally, I honestly don't care who accepted it. That has nothing based upon what I was thinking. To re WORD it : I don't understand why they would use some of the transitions they used. The basic way they used them is (yet again) to heighten the difficulty ... For instance ... Mikey's File ... cough ... The stupid little trills ... the end of those leading into the big trill .... weird transition that an expert step artist doesn't really often do. I personally don't care either which way, just wondered. |

it's not meant to be smooth or easy. same thing with Drinking Stories -- the chart has some really fast, split-heavy transitions, and it's all intended to make the chart slightly more technical - all in an effort to deflate scores and increase overall replayability |

The second jumpstream is also around 170 BPM for the beginning, the fast part of the second jumpstream is at 194 BPM for one beat. The ending jumpstream is consistent at 160 BPM- for someone who uses DDReam frequently it's actually kind of funny, you can tell Silvuh just kind of gave up on this section and left it at 160 BPM lol Of course EHHS is steady whereas this file has constant changes, so despite being 10-20 BPM slower I can see why you find it so hard to PA :P

Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #6
I know that file is made for the top division in the tournament I get it. But, it's just horribly awkward and just ridiculous. I totally agree with spiking difficulties and shit for tournaments but that file ... idk. Worse than Crimson Crescent put it that way. Even THough I like CC.
Honestly I can't get sub 40's on these files and that says something. To me at least. Files like this I would easily teen good them. But, yeah, newer step artists mean, newer quircks and weaknesses exploited, for obvious reasons. NOT to mention as Ichlie just pointed out to me. Is there specifically something against me per say in this tournament? I stated this in the beginning before the tourney even started about some weaknesses I've had. Trills being one of them. Why the &%#@ have we had trills in almost every damn song? That's .... not challenging but annoying doing the same bullshit over and over... if we have trills next round I'm quitting ... idgaf either. Last edited by krunkykai22; 10-2-2011 at 03:24 PM.. |

Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #6
Just going to post this sightread here... I think it's a pretty good score
As far as I'm concerned nobody in D6 has the right to whine about this file, it's frickin fun and amazing and the 1-handed trills aren't all that bad, whoever stepped this I got yo back. Detailed reviews coming later tonight maybe, but I just HAD to post this haha

Another reason why I may have overestimated each of them after I played them was I PLAYED ON MIRROR. Derp, I forgot to turn mirror off after I AAA'd Aerospace on mirror so I played and did horrible. Turned it off and it was a considerable difference. I might make a video this round. Try and see if I can get a good run :P

The reason why I joined this tournament is to be aware of my weaknesses and improve on it, but more importantly, to have fun. It was a debate if it was "worth" joining because all I have with me in college is my terrible laptop keyboard which I can't get scores that I would normally get on my better keyboard at home and whether if I can juggle FFR with my stress on top of school. I'm glad I made the right decision to take the challenge and let this challenge be my study break from college. tldr, play the tournament for fun! You're doing really well in my division anyways so keep up the good work |
