Default Collectable and Tradeable Things in Video Games

Are there any video games where you can collect something and maybe even trade with other NPCs (non-playable characters)? Not yu-gi-oh or pokemon where you battle with other people, but games where you just collect things and you can trade them with other NPCs. If possible please suggest a game with adventure. The game can still have you use the things you collect as long as it isn't a battling game like a card game.

no i mean where collecting things is the main focus of the game and there's no leveling up or battling

kind of like yume nikki but without it being a horror game and with the ability to trade what you collect with other NPCs

thank you but i actually want to collect things as the main focus of the game, not build and manage a farm or battle monsters

i played the ds version wild world; it was okay and i liked buying things from nook but it got really boring because you just stayed in town all day and the NPCs pretty much said the same things all day and there was almost nothing to do except wait for events that were only once a week or even later and you had to wait every day for nook to get new things; i felt like i was doing the same thing every single day

thank you for the suggestion though

Oh wow people actually play animal crossing by waiting.. Ok so like what u can do is, there's an option before you start playing to set the date, you can just skip forward and force it to be a new day lol I think in the ds version it's the phone in your room

As for collectable games I've been playing alot of ocarina of time randomizer recently but it's sorta hard to set up, it's pretty fun though if you know the game really well to just run around collecting items from random chests

thank you but i don't like setting the time to something other than the actual time IRL; i feel like i would be cheating and it wouldn't be fun for me

i like watching let's plays of games on a randomizer but i don't know if i'd want to play an entire game with randomized items
